I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am now that we've got two rooms finished in the house! It's felt like a long time coming, and the little changes are so drastic - who knew that slapping some paint on a wall could make it look 1000x different?!

So at the time of us decorating the downstairs toilet - I say us, I mean my father in law whilst I watched on...- I had a spur of the moment idea to pop to B&Q to get some paint for the family bathroom. I have always loved Farrow & Ball: Hague Blue, so I chose that and had B&Q colour match it using their Valspar v500 solution. This in itself saved us £24 for a 2.5L pot! So I definitely recommend getting your fave or ideal colour colour matched if the branded option is outside your price point.

From there, it was just a case of dropping Ella off with her grandparents so that I didn't feel guilty when she wanted to play and I couldn't. We managed to get the walls painted with two coats in just 3.5 hours; and by the time we had picked Ella up and got home, it had already dried so we could get the mirror and photo frames hung to finish it all off. All in all i'm so pleased with this room and the response over on Instagram has been amazing - you all love it as much as I do!

To finish off, here's some before photos so you can see the full transformation xo
