May in pictures

//That was it for May! It went by so fast without even thinking about it. May is always one of my favorite months, not just because it's my birthday month, but also because this is the month where the sun tends to come out and people start getting a little happier.

Graduation was something I've been looking forward to for so long; ever since I got here and when I first wanted to do an exchange program. I was one of the lucky exchange students who got to walk the stage and get a real diploma- so it was definitely one of the more important nights. The weather here in Michigan is not something to trust, so we had to be prepared to do either an outdoor or an indoor graduation, but luckily it ended up in good weather and everyone was happy.

As you can see, I went to the zoo and saw giraffes. I have never been so close to a giraffe before and it was honestly one of the coolest things to be able to feed them. I love going to the zoo and also went there when I was a little kid, so being able to see one in a different country was something I've been wanting to do.

Last but not least, I went camping on Memorial Weekend. The only time I've been camping was 2 years ago in Italy, but I wouldn't necessarily call that camping. My host family has a camp spot 15 minutes away from the house, so it was really nice to get out and see something different and just the whole camping experience in itself was fun.

Hugs, Nanna
