It’s finally time for a new food review. It’s been (A LONG) while since the last. I’m sorry.. It’s not because we stopped going out, but more because I’m trying (as much as possible) to put my phone down, when we have relationship-time. Often, Joakim looks like an idiot, out for dinner alone, because my phone is glued to my hand, and he's NOT happy about it. NOT everything is about "see-my-perfect-false-life", BUT saturday, when we (again) went to 'Madklubben', I HAD to bust out my phone and even plug it to a powerbank halfway through maincourse. Maybe because of the fact that I'm almost always late out the door, and for those of you who was with me on instagram saturday evening, I did a live "GRWM" and that took away all of my battery.. Off course, I didn't had the time to recharge it, so I went out the door with a somewhat dead phone and had a birthday party to attend, after dinner. SO.. Now, with that really important (?) information out of the way, let's get back to, what it's all about ... FOOD !
It's no secret, that Joakim and I love Madklubbens restaurants and concepts. So saturday evening was no exeption. We went to 'Steak Royal', close to 'Rådhuspladsen, in the middle of central Copenhagen. At the 'Madklubben' restaurants, you get 3 courses for 200 dkk or 300 dkk. The food is really good, great service and always good vibes! There's a bit for everyone on their menu, from caesar salad to beef tatar, steaks, something with truffels, fish, caramel or icecream for dessert etc.
This round, I had caesar salad (without croutons) for starter, and Joakim had japanese styled chicken. For maincourse we both had 350g ribeye steak with bearnaise. Joakim had plain fries and I had truffel fries and for dessert I had a Danny's lime pie. An original lime pie, but with blueberry couli and white chocolate on top. The name Danny is from the chef who "invented" the recipe. Joakim had 3 way icecream/sorbet with mareng on top.
I cannot, I ANY way, complain about the food OR the service! Well, then it had to be the extremely loud waitress who almost shouted " HOW ARE YOU THIS EVENING", when we first sat down. But hell, she enjoyed her work night and it gave us something to talk about.. (And laugh about hihi) She was professional as fuck. Just loud ;)
