So, I have been really absent the last month or so... a lot have happened, during this time.
I have moved to another apartment (like five minutes walk distance from my gym - to good to be true!)
- but that also included a no-WiFi life for over two weeks (!) turned out people are retarded... should not be surprised anymore.
But that is all good now, so yay!
I have also struggled a bit with my studies. Haha it was a long time ago since I felt this stupid. But yeah, I am getting more and more into it, so it will be fine.

So basically, my life has been a little upside down lately, but it has had its great moments as well.

I have had the pleasure to been around people that I really appreciate. People that I enjoy spending time with.
We have mostly been working out together, talked a bit - best kind of hanging out in my opinion!
I have seen some GOOD RESULTS from my training (I mean LOOK AT MY SHOULDERS! - they are really getting there).
And yeah, a lot of good things have been around the last couple of weeks (one more major thing that I will reveal latter on... so stay tuned)
Oh and, yeah, I have also turned 25! So slowly, but surely I am closing in on my mental age #oldladyontheinside

But then, again, I have really been struggling with my diet.
My body just simply did NOT respond well to it.
This is something that I am planning on talk a bit more about, really go deep into it.
Since it is of such great importance.

This has also resulted in that I have dropped out of my diet plan.
I have informed my coach that I am going to take care of my food intake all by myself the nearest future.
With the biggest focus on regaining some kind of balance, and achieve a healthy mindset once again!

HEALTH > Results.
Always.

Yesterday, Sunday, I had a rest- and cheat day (according to schedule).
And, I am not kidding when I say that I managed to eat over 5000kcal... (not really according to schedule) I just ate everything, without any hesitation! There were a lot of protein bars (prefer those over regular candy bars etc.), protein ice cream from LoHiLo, and of course - food!

I have struggled a bit with my diet plan. I have cheated a lot - not massive amounts, but smaller amounts every other day (more or less). I am not really sure why I do struggle this hard with the food... but I am trying not to get to stressed out about it; giving myself time to adjust and find some kind of balance with everything. Over the years, I have also learned to listen to my body, so I am trying to be observant and adjust according to my body’s signals. As I am weighing myself almost every morning, I can also see that everything goes in the right direction, so I am not totally lost! (I think)

Today’s workout consisted of A LOT of super sets for biceps and triceps... my arms got so pumped up that I did not know where to go or what to do - LOVE IT! Then I ended my session with some cardio; this time I decided to give the bicycle a try (since my shins are still a bit sore)... but 15 minutes later with a lot of lactate accumulation, I decided to perform the remaining 15 minutes rowing. So, today I have realized that I am not, ever, going to be a cyclist (and probably not a rower either). But, I am happy regardless of that! I actually do prefer to run. Even if that as well really do suck a lot of times, it is something that I actually do want to be better at, and I am motivated to do it! Kind of the lesser of two evils.

And, of course, when I had finished; I took advantage of an empty gym and posed a bit in front of the mirrors. Still have not got the posing and flexing right just yet, but I am getting there. Sooner or later, everything will fall into place.

Back at my parents house again! So, todays workout was performed at the local gym here in the “village” (byhålan). My body has felt really stressed today... stomachache and bloated. I do think that I am eating less than man body is comfortable with. But my coach insists that it is the right amount. I do not know. I do know that he has a LOT of expertise, I just feel that my body does not cooperate and react as it should. I just... feel stressed out about that, ALL THE TIME. But, hopefully I will achieve some sort of balance soon enough! I am still hopeful! 🙌🏻🌟

☝🏻one of the super-sets from today; t-bar rows and push ups, 4x12

The I ended my workout with some cardio 🐘💦 Just LOVE the view from the treadmill 🙏🏻❤️ To be able to see one of the biggest and most inspirational persons I know, is really keeping me motivated while the feeling of dying is creeping up on me while running...
Ended with a short cardio session today though, where I only did 5 min warm up @ 8km/h, followed by 15 min @ 10km/h, with a cooldown of 2 min @ 6km/h.
My shins (periosteums/tibias; swe, skenben) have been aching since yesterday. I think I need to rotate the running cardio with some cycling for i while... until my body is more used to it. Otherwise I will probably suffer from inflammation in the near future 🙃 (really do not want that)
But anyhow, even if the cardio session were held short today, I managed to build up a lot of sweat at least 😎💦 got all red and moist 😳😅

Not really a big fan of my skin right now... starting to wonder if it has to do with some hormones..? But I do not know. Hopefully everything will clear out sooner or later ☺️🙌🏻

So, todays workout felt very... “meh”. I do not know why. I have been a bit down these last two days. Without any really good explanation. I think it is that I am stressed or something. I am actually loving life right now, so it feels really weird to have this feeling. But hopefully it will go away! (Otherwise I will make it disappear! 💪🏻) ANYHOW today offered some new exiting experiences... that I might share later on, but for now, it is just between me, myself and I (and some of the closest to me). Hopefully this means one more step in the right direction! 🙌🏻
So EXITED about what life has to offer! 😍👌🏻

Some light in the “dark” is that I actually got a compliment at the gym today! For my progress! 🦄 So thankful 🙏🏻
(Oh body, how I LOVE you❤️)

Well, depends on how you see it. I have managed to perform 3 strength training workouts and 2 cardio bouts so far this year✌🏻
Today, calves and abs/obliques was on the schedule, and since it is one of the workouts that take the shortest amount of time, I have decided to try to put in some cardio afterwards 🐢 I have wanted (and felt the need) to do some conditioning for a while now. Even if I just LOVE strength training and becoming stronger, I would like to be able to run without dying as well... 🐘💦 So, now is the time to make that change! 🦄🌟
So todays cardio session consisted of warm up, 10min (5min @ 8km/h, 5 min @ 10 km/h) followed by 10x 0;30/0;30 intervals @ 12km/h, with an active “rest” at 10 km/h, and finished of with a cool down for 10min @ 8km/h (8km/h is kind of my “comfortable speed”, where it sometimes feels like I can run forever). Felt much better than expected! So next time I will try to either put in some more intervals or turn up the speed a bit. I know that I am still kind of slow, and not really that persistent compared to more experienced runners, but baby steps! 👶🏻👣 rush slowly as the saying says (swe; skynda långsamt).

My plan for now is to try to fit in at least 3 cardio bouts/week - Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. I will try to mix longer sessions with shorter interval sessions, but I do not really have a structured plan for it. Now in the beginning it is more of just doing something.

☝🏻 picture from post yesterdays workout. Just got to love those “back-rolls of fat” 😍 (everyone has them, so I wont by shy 😉) and the traditional mark from the barbell beneath the neck 👌🏻❤️

So, even if I tried to get up “early” this morning, I did not get a lot done for today. I tried to study a bit, since I have a pretty big examination assignment that is due to 14/1, but I just could not find the right focus... Instead I tried to practice my posing a bit 🙄🙈 Haha, I can not really get any good pictures - wrong lightning, wrong angles, can not seem to make my muscles “pop”... but yeah, at least I am starting to really appreciate what I see in the mirror 😍👌🏻 Who cares if I can not get a decent picture, I know I look good 🙌🏻😏🌟
But yeah, since I realized that my time and focus for studying just would not come to me... I decided to head of to the gym instead!
And it just feels SO GOOD to BE HOME!❤️ I have spent some time back home at my parents house over Christmas, so I have had to use a temporarly gym over there. There is nothing wrong with it! But it is just not MY GYM. So I am really enjoying being back, fully focusing on my workouts, loving every second of it.
Todays workout consisted of a lot of high-repetitions sets... killing both my legs and my shoulders. The pain was REAL.
I LOVE IT!

So, this morning I set an alarm at 0800 (did not really jump out of bed right away... #snooze) in an attempt to get back in some kind of routines again, after Christmas and New Year’s Eve. I have managed to totally flip my night and day hours, been awake to 03-0400 every other night the last couple of days. I think I have only slept for about 4-5 hours this night, so do I have to explain the love to my timed coffeemaker right now? Just LOVE my coffee in the morning🙏🏻❤️ I always start the day with 1-2, sometimes 3... cups of coffee, before I even lift a finger.

After my first cup of coffee today, I decided to take some updated body measurements. First thing, I weighed in at 71,1 kg this morning (this was actually before my first cup of coffee) - that is A LOT to my tiny 165 cm, giving me a BMI (body mass index) of approximately 26, which actually “qualifies” into the category for overweight. But, haha, this is why it is so important to take other measurements as well, instead of only focusing on the body weight. The weight and BMI does not really reveal the whole picture - how much of it is fat? lean mass? MUSCLES?! Well, you can not really find that out with regular circumference measurements either. But by combining the two of them, at least gives you a greater understanding how your body is developing. As soon as you start to build more muscle mass, the BMI is going to be skewed, and can not be trusted.

So these👇🏻are my results from this morning;
Shoulders 112cm
Upper arm 31cm
Forearm 27cm
Chest ^ (above the breast) 93,5cm
Chest v (below the breast) 85cm
Waist < (smallest part) 69,5cm
Stomach > (biggest part) 81cm
Hip > (biggest part) 85cm
Bum > (biggest part) 96cm
Upper thighs > (biggest part) 61cm
Calves > (biggest part) 40cm

And yes, I am a “big girl”, but I would not say that I am fat, I am just STRONG.

Hellu,
So, it is the first day of 2018 - the year that I have decided is going to be MY YEAR.
The year of 2017 was a pretty bad year for me, and yes, I do realize that probably everyone is saying this... but yeah, 2017 sure was shitty.
My significant other left me in heartache, and I spent over a month just crying my eyes out, not leaving my apartment and just felt like a total mess. Could not eat, could not sleep, and I was away from the gym for over 2 months.
But then, a good friend of mine got me to realize that no one is worthy of my tears (thank you Bobo), and that i have to go my own way, create my own happiness. So slowly I found my way back to the gym. Once again I felt the love to lifting weights. One result after the other started to show, and I started to feel “high on life”. I started to smile (for real) again, became motivated, started to set up new goals and finally, I got the courage to DREAM BIG.

For the first time I started to appreciate and love my own body, felt comfortable of just being me.
Slowly, but surely I started to find myself, and I started to LOVE LIFE.

2018, is going to be MY YEAR. And this is how I am going to document it.
