Hi there, welcome to my blog! I just want to introduce myself to my new readers. My online alias is Sasspixels but my real name is Minh. I am an enthusiastic freelance photographer and videographer, who takes on some odd projects from time to time. I hope to bring some of these projects into this blog and I hope it will create som interest for you guys. Now enough about me and onto the photoshoot...

I did this photoshoot back in summer 2017 as a collab with former miss Norway contestant.

As you can see the collaboration was very successful. But all this success doesn't come by itself. This photoshoot became a good concept, because of careful planning. I always have these 4 check points in my mind whenever I am creating photoshoot projects:

1. Planning the concept
Go out there and find some inspiration, whenever it will be on pinterest or instagram. Make a moodboard, of the concept and keep it as future reference.
2. Find the location
Finding an exotic location in Norway, might be really hard. This is where you have to be really creative and think differently.
Also keep in mind, the season for outdoros photoshoot in Norway is very scarce so you should act quickly.
3. Plan out the outfits
Having 5-6 different outfits on the shoot, will help your concept have a better cohesiveness. This is step will lift your editorial a lot if you plan out carefully and get the right materials.
4. Find a model who will fit your concept.
Finding a model that will fit your concept might take some time. But be patient, it will pay off when you find the right model for the right photoshoot. Instead taking someone on the whim.

For this photoshoot, I used my thrust worthy Canon 6D with 85mm 1.4 lense.
My resource of light was just natural light, and I didn't use any type of diffusers or flash. My photography style outdoors is often based on natural light .I like to keep it simple and not drag too much with me whenever I do outdoors photography.
I am firm believer of less is more when it comes to light.

But when you are starting out, and have no budget or whatsoever, a phone camera or an old camera will be more than enough.
These days, you have so much resources inside a phone camera that it will be enough for you to explore and experience with the medium before you decide to go pro.
