Oh dear. The time is almost here to say goodbye to 2017 and welcome 2018! (!)
I am so excited to to start a new year, but also grateful for the year that has passed. I feel like I have achieved my goals for 2017 which was to travel and do more of what I want and makes me happy. However it has been a rollercoaster, the downside of being a sensitive and emotional person. I am not gonna go deep into what has happened this year but I definitely feel like I will leave some people and feelings behind me when entering next year. Letting go is always hard, but I know myself. If I don't let go it will take longer to reach my happiness. I also feel like 2017 was a year I got to know myself better. And what I am most proud of is that when I felt like everyone was letting me down, I could actually count on myself.
If we take a look at the events of 2017 most of them were in forms of travels. I started off the year to see a friend in Ibiza. Her friendship is something I value a lot, even if we don't talk everyday. Ibiza is such a beautiful place and I am glad I got to experience it when it was low season and I could enjoy the true island and not the party atmosphere
I went to Sweden 2 times this year. Sweden is my home. It was mums birthday and of course I had to go home and meet the family and celebrate her!
2017 was also the year we welcomed a new little furry family member. Luna. She needed a place and of course we wanted to help! She has so much energy yet so much cuddle in her. I love her to bits.
In June it was time for the trip of the year BRAZIL. I have made a blog post about it with all the details and I am definitely going back to explore in the future!
In the end of the summer I decided I needed some time off from the British life to visit family and friends. I decided to book a one way ticket to Sweden and just rest, gain energy and spend time with loved ones. During my last week in Sweden me and my mum went to Croatia. It was a week filled with sunshine, clear water, food and relaxation. Croatia is such a beautiful and breathtaking place!
After one week back in the UK Oscar had made plans for us to go to Spain so off I went again. We visited Madrid, Seville and Cadiz. And I was surprised how hot it was. In September! I literally fell in love with Seville. What a stunning place. And the food! Delicious.
Once back I started my second year in uni, time flies! And I also went back to my old job, but another area. Life was back to normal and I was drowning in uni work, which made me so stressed.
Luckily, we had one last trip of the year. Me and Oscar took the flight to Las Palmas in the beginning of December to see my dad. We had one week of getting to know new people, enjoy the sun, eat good food, rest, spend time with loved ones and just breathing in last holiday air of the year!
Today is the 28th of December and I am currently sitting in my pyjama doing uni work. No, it is actually the 29th! Time has gone by so quickly, but I am so eager to start the next year and see what it has to offer!
Thank you 2017 for being an awesome travel year and getting to know myself better. I really appreciated you!
