Spending time in the country truly cleanses one's soul. I have been feeling a little overtired since I've started working as a receptionist. Don't get me wrong- I love my job and working during my gap year, but I've been working all week long the past month, so it was incredibly liberating once Simon, Harry, dad and myself arrived at Orust on Friday. Here are some photos that show how cozy and atmospheric it is to be in the country.
On the 14th of June I graduated college, which was one of the most liberating days of my life! So, as part of my celebration, my friends and I booked a trip to Athens, Greece. It is one of the most beautiful and historic cities in the world! The locals were all incredibly friendly, charming and helpful. My friends and I visited many famous sites including the Acropolis and Plaka. The food in Athens was delicious, especially the famous local dish Souvlaki!
As I mentioned earlier, the local inhabitants were all very friendly and helpful, which is a contributing factor as to why my friends and I were able to explore Athens fully. One night, when my friends and I were having drinks at a bar, our waiter was incredibly chatty and friendly, which is why we were able to fully appreciate night life in Athens ;)
We lived close to the sea, which was fantastic due to the fact that the weather was extremely hot. Our neighbourhood consisted of mainly Greek locals which was very pleasant because we could fully comprehend and understand life in Greece.
On our last day, my friends and I visited the island Aegina, which is located approximately an hour outside of Athens. The water there was extremely clear and fresh, which is why my friends and I bathed and lay in the sun all day long.
