The abandoned porcelain doll factory in Spain

Urban exploration in an creepy abandoned building that was once a factory that made porcelain dolls.

It’s been abandoned a long time and the only thing that remains today is ruins of the factory and tons of molds that the dolls were made in.

Creepy place that makes you think of all of those horror movies with haunted dolls. Even in clear daylight you twitch and look over the shoulder when you hear a strange noise from behind.

To buy an abandoned house

Sunday, 3 February, 2019, 6:43 PMSweden, Urban exploration
we bought an abandoned house in Sweden and it have been a bit crazy ever since!

As you may know we love to visit abandoned places wherever we go, we are always looking for new cool spots in every country we travel to.

In Italian Liguria the state gives away castles and houses that’s abandoned for free to increase the tourism in small villages. Our first thought was to get one of those in the beautiful Italian riviera... but that might be a project for the future. Instead we desided to find something in Sweden, a base where we can live and work while we are here.

Outside an abandoned building in Germany
So we drove on all the roads in the Swedish countryside that we could find, we posted adds about our search for an abandoned house on Facebook and got a lot of answers and tips and finally we found Näraby.

This house have been abandoned for about 20 years and it needs a lot of work and love. It will take time and energy but we will make it into that lovely home it once was <3

After buying Näraby the swedish media wrote a lot about it, here are some links

And of course some Criticism ;)

Urban exploration Italy - Colonia Antonio Devoto

colonia Antonio Devoto Urban exploration Italy Passo del bocco abandoned haunted building

On the highest top of the dangerous road Passo del Bocco there is an abandoned building perfect for urban exploration - Colonia Antonio Devoto .

We thought that we could drive almost the whole way there, but we were wrong. This donkeytrail wasn't ok to drive even for Styrbjörn, so we parked him and started walking.

And walking and walking and walking, higher and higher... finally we reached a house in the middle of nowhere and we met an old man who we asked for directions. He pointed us in the right way, and walked in to his home. How is it even possible to live up there?! Anyway, we got to a gate that probably once have been closed and locked but now there were only a part of it still there.

Behind a hill in the middle of the forest by the mountain Zatta we saw this: the abandoned old fascist building, built in the 30's, that once served as a home for children. For those who couldn't be a part of the society. Later on it became a nursing home and after that a drug addiction recovering center. Then it was abandoned.

This former Devoto colony looks completely taken out of its context, standing all abandoned in the forest on the top of a distant mountain.

It's magnificently big with its 5 levels and 365 windows (!!!), one window for each day of the year.

The only thing left today is the empty corridors and rooms with abandoned and vandalized furnitures. It's crazy to see all of these Italian design steel furnitures from the Art Deco era, today they would be worth a lot of money.

Old children's beds are stacked on top of each other creating some kind of wall. Blue colored bedside tables are thrown out from the windows and the garden is filled with them, we are not the first to be here.

As we enter the second floor we starting to think that we're not alone in the building. The corridors is sealed off by a bunch of furnitures like there is someone or something living there. We can also here some kind of sound as we get closer. It's the same thing on the third, fourth and fifth floor, the corridors are sealed off in the middle. We decided to not investigate that any further.

There have been some paranormal investigators here at Colonia Antonio Devoto. It is said that the house is haunted, that when you enter it will drain you on all of your energy and take everything from you, both the good and the bad.

What are those walls hiding? All people that have been living here, sleeping in the beds and using the old furnitures, going to the church on the bottom floor. Are their souls still here, wandering around in this absent building?
