Surfing gone wrong - surf girl getting hurt 🤙🏻

We are right now in one of few places along the Mediterranean Sea in Spain where the waves is good for surfing (La Mata). So of course we are doing as much surf as possible!
But then it happened, the thing I’ve been most afraid of, my surfing-nightmare....

I wasn’t paying attention enough and a wave took my board and throw it right In my face. Felt like an earthquake hitting my head. I took my hand to my face and realized I was bleeding pretty bad.
I had to tell myself to breath. I often faint when I get hurt and I didn’t want that to happen while in the water.

Got up covered in blood without knowing how bad it was.
After documenting the damage (of course) we went to the emergency. I must say that I’m impressed by the Spanish healthcare!! In Sweden It would probably have taken hours before anyone had helped me in the emergency, but here I could just walk straight in to the doctor and they really took time for me.

I really hate the thought of getting stitches so they tried to convince me of getting only one.
But apparently Niklas and the doctor hade some sort of silent arrangement while I was laying there with my eyes closed, so I ended up with three stitches. Guess that was for my own best 🙈

Got out from the hospital bit shaken and sore, but glad it wasn’t any worse. A few days of resting and not being in the water before going back to remove the stitches.

They did a great job at the emergency, I’m glad this happened in Spain!
