i want to be so kind it echoes backwards in time and undos all the bad things in this world. i want to be so kind it radiates off of me. i want to be so kind that i make someone find faith in humanity again. there’s not much i can do; i’m small and weak and i only know so many words. but i know i can be kind. and sometimes, i believe, that changes the world. as the moon cycles are dynamic and ever changing, so are my emotions. if you’ve been following me you would know, more than anyone, how my life is the epitome of a roller coaster. i’ve lost a lot and i’ve loved a lot only to lose again - if you ever feel like you’ve lost your voice, find it. find it in the people you surround yourself with. find it in the food you eat and the songs you sing. find it in the dark when you’re crying at 2 am because you have insomnia or when you’re staring at the ceiling bored out of your mind. find it in the contagious laughs you have or the sobs you cry. find it. find yourself. you’re out there.
Yesterday was the first day of fall, you know what that means? The holidays are slowly but surely approaching us! Before you know it, it’ll be another season of me being single!
Nonetheless, I’m a sucker for anything seasonal and festive. That might mean apple cider and apple cinnamon donuts (for now) but what I’m really excited about, the one holiday I would want to last all year round and the one holiday I wouldn’t mind being stuck in a movie, Christmas!
So, here’s my next question for you... What’s the first thing you think of right after eating your 5 course Thanksgiving meal? I hope we’re thinking the same thing... shopping!
Black Friday has always and I think always will intrigue me. Now, if you’re unaware of the chaotic Black Friday reputation, you wouldn’t understand what I’m about to say. All rumors are true; Black Friday is the epitome of a socially acceptable consumer society that fights in order to purchase “top sales” of the season. You might be asking yourself, “Selda, how would you know? All you do is online shop..” Well let me just share my tips and tricks to successful Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping.
If your forte is online shopping, your girl got you! That’s me, by the way!
One of my favorite places to find what’s hot, what’s not, and the best deals for the holiday season is: https://slickdeals.net/blackfriday/
Slick deals also shows what most people are interested in purchasing at a specific time of year! It’s important to keep in mind the time of year when buying new things in case you can get better deals if you wait a little longer!
If I do decided to get out of bed, put on some clothes and make my way to the mall, specifically BLACK FRIDAY here are the things I do to prepare for a wild adventure!
1. Pack a light bag with some snacks and water (it’s important to stay hydrated)
2. Don’t wear layers! Wear the quickest, easiest outfit you can come up with!
3. Bring a buddy or two! Shopping is always more fun when you have friends!
4. Keep in mind the things you NEED versus the things you WANT!
5. Create a check list of gifts you’re getting for friends & family in order to make sure you get everyone something!
6. To help you navigate through the shops, try to stick to or go to only a few stores BUT ones you really truly want to hit!
7. In order to make sure you get the most for your money, pay attention to all the deals! Every store is different, some might say “Buy 2 Get 2 Free” but others might say it’s only for pieces over “$40!”
8. Listen to music, get in the jam, and have fun!
Just talking about the season of giving, love, and gingerbread, I cannot help but listen to Christmas music! My favorite season is finally approaching and I can’t wait! More excuses to shop but no excuses to not get a good deal, thanks to SlickDeals!

Simple Exercises You Can Do At Home!
Many of us don’t have time to get to a gym or are unable to afford a membership, which costs an average of nearly $700 per year, reports prosperlyway.com. One of the more convenient ways to get that recommended 30 minutes of exercise each day, is to work out at home or get outdoors, going for a walk, run, hike, bike ride or another fun activity. If you purchase one of the San Diego houses for sale , you’ll be able to enjoy doing that just about every day of the year. But if you aren’t fortunate enough to live in an area with a wonderfully mild climate, the good news is that there are plenty of simple exercises you can do right at home.
Stream Fitness Classes
Take advantage of the training fitness experts from the comfort of your home. Online classes are available on YouTube for just about everything from yoga and cardio to strength training. Class instructors are great at keeping you motivated to get through the workout and will also teach you about proper form to prevent injury. Many YouTubers offer 30-day programs as well, so you won’t get bored with repetitive workouts. One of the most highly recommend subscription programs is BeachBody On Demand – at just $99 per year, you get access to multiple fitness and nutrition programs and it’s probably a lot less than what you’d pay for a gym membership.
Deck of Cards
Made famous by country singer Carrie Underwood, the Deck of Cards workout is simple. Assign a workout for each suit of cards: lunges, squats, sit ups, and pushups, for example. Shuffle your cards and draw from the top, do the assigned move for the number of times on the card. Use 11 for jacks, 12 for queens, and 13 for kings. You can decide if an ace is one or 14. Keep your rest time between cards to a minimum and you will get your heart pumping in no time. Go through the entire deck to complete your workout.
Owning the proper equipment will allow you to get the best home workout possible. If it’s in your budget and you have space, get a treadmill, Elliptical trainer or stationary bike so you can maximize cardio results without going outside. Although cardio is important, strength training should be a priority too as increases your metabolism and strengthens not just your muscles but your bones too. Get one or two pairs of dumbbells for curls, shoulder presses, and tricep kickbacks, and to add weight to squats and lunges. Resistance bands or loops can be used in addition to dumbbells or to replace them entirely. They are less expensive and require less space to store.
Dancing is a great workout – you might have noticed if you’ve ever watched shows like Dancing with the Stars. It requires no equipment – simply turn up the tunes and move. There’s no need to learn dance steps, just have fun. The more fun exercise is, the more likely you are to keep up with it.
