After a well-deserved 10 hour nap in Hong Kong, following a 15 hour flight taken from JFK shortly after returning from Boston earlier that day, I woke up at 10:30pm hungry and restless. I ventured out to central Hong Kong's chic SoHo 蘇豪, tucked away in between the neighborhoods of Lan Kwai Fong and Sheung Wan. I have been to a couple SoHo's in my life, the most obvious being the SoHo at home in New York. The HK district sits on top of what seems to be an endless hill and gets its name from its location - South of Hollywood Road. It being the heart of a Saturday night, the street bars and lounges were packed with students and expats, tourists and locals. Although I did not take any shots from this epic first night, below are some taken from my day trip back to the district on a more quiet Sunday morning. The streets were almost unrecognizable compared to the night before but the boutique pastry shops and fresh air were godsend for us hangover club members. Enjoy!

Nothing like shadow play while roaming the Forbidden City in Beijing, China. Life is not linear but I have learned that finding natural symmetry does help ease the mind. Black and white, stillness and movement, filled and empty. The architecture of the palace exudes a sense of serenity.

Excited to head back to HK in two weeks to capture some new stills of the city's vibrant neighborhoods and night markets. Here are a few shots from my previous trip back in 2013. Enjoy!
