It’s Valentines Day!...And you don’t know what to wear tonight, crikey! But hey, there is still time to fix this first world problem. Certainly, what you want to wear may depend on where going and who you’re going out with. Maybe you’re going out on a first date, or you’re trying to spice things up with your partner. Or maybe you have planned a girls’ night out. My point is, no matter what is on your calendar for tonight, I am more than happy to help you out with some of my favorite Valentine’s Day outfits. Here are some ideas:

Red
Don’t be shy, get those reds out of your closet now! I can promise you that a simple red blouse with a pair of jeans will do a fantastic job.

Dresses
1
. LBD. Every girl’s must-have in the closet! The little black dress is the savior of all times. It is so easy to wear, but still sexy. A shiny pair of heels with the LBD, and your evening is sorted.

2. Bandage dress. This kind of dress gives the ultimate fit and cannot be more perfect for a date.

3. Sheath dress. If you would like to look a bit more toned down this evening, you should go for this look.

Skirt
Skirt + shirt + accessorize = Valentine’s date. I recommend any black flounce skirt with a tucked-in white silky shirt. You can finish this look by tying a black ribbon around your collar, as an accessory.

Cami top
A cami top in silk on top of tight black jeans, Mamma Mia!

Leather
A bit of leather will certainly give you that sultry look. You can try leather trousers/leggings with a sleeveless top. A faux fur jacket is a great addition to complete this outfit.

Relax fit trousers
You will be all set for tonight with a pair of wide-leg trousers/high-waist paperbag trousers, matched with a bralet/short top. You can also try a blazer on top of this kind of outfit for a more discrete look.

Leopard prints
A leopard blouse or blazer fitted with black trousers is also a great choice. Trust me on this one, the person you’re going out with will most likely have a thing for leopard prints.

Remember, it’s more than fine to look a bit extra on Valentine’s Day. In fact, it is the day of extravaganza, so let your love speak through your outfit tonight! Good luck, girls! 😉

Greetings, dear all! Today, I want to give you a review on Estée Lauder’s makeup set, The Blockbuster Collection. I received this box as a birthday gift, and oh boy, I was thrilled! To start with, this kit is a pretty sweet deal for any makeup addict that is willing to loosen the purse strings (although a bit pricy, we all know that we get what we pay for!). The makeup itself comes in a beautiful red leather bag – and trust me on this one – I love its design so much that I am still considering carrying it as part of my streetfashion.

Inside the bag, you will find:

1. Three different shades of Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick. I must say that I am in love with the three of them, but if I had to choose one of these colours, it would be all of them! The Intense Nude (#130) and Dynamic (#410) with their naturally brownish shades can be worn for literally anything, and for those that love to spice things up a bit, the Vengeful Red (#350) gives a little more intense and seductive look.

2. Pure Color Envy Sculpting Gloss, Reckless Bloom (#420). Gives that perfect lip-plumping effect, with a hint of sparkle. Perfect to add on top of the Dynamic lipstick.

3. Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara (#1, Extreme Black). This mascara is rather gentle with your eyelashes and also great for keeping them moist (so you don’t need to suffer through the agitation of holding up heavy and dried out lashes). However, I wish the mascara would smudge less and add more volume, as the name indicates.

4. Two different sets of Pure Color Envy EyeShadow Palette, Sculpting EyeShadow (one for day and one for night). These palettes are suitable for any occasion, and there is also no classic colour missing from these. A smooth eyeshadow brush is also included in the pack.

5. Pure Color Envy Cheek Palette, Sculpting Blush. It comes in two different tones: Limited Edition Sculpting Bronzer (#29), which gives a gorgeous, tanned shade, and the Luminizer (#27) with its peachy hint for a delicate look.

6. Gentle Eye Makeup Remover. I am extremely happy with this one, as it instantly gets most of the mascara off. Surely is it gentle, but rest assured that it still can be painful to get this into your eyes.

7. Advanced Night Repair Eye, Synchronized Recovery Complex II.

8. Advanced Night Repair, Synchronized Recovery Complex II. As I haven’t tried the recovery products for that long yet, all I can say is that the instant effect of both the eye and facial repair products is very cooling and smoothing (hopefully, these will work on my laugh lines soon!). Also, I have noticed that the Advanced Night Repair really helps out to heal spots on the face, and also prevents new ones from occurring.

So, what do I think about this makeup collection? Let’s keep it real. I love this kit, and a lot! But, if anything is missing from it, it is possibly a multi-purpose makeup remover or a sample of a moisturizing facial cream. Otherwise, the bag is more or less complete. So, to anyone out there, if you’re looking for a special Valentine's treat for a loved one, you might want to pamper them with the Blockbuster.

People sometimes ask me what my everyday makeup routine is. Firstly, I would like to point out that before applying any makeup, I make sure that my face is clean and moisturized. My main rule when it comes to makeup is to always invest in expensive products no exceptions! For my daily look, I like to use the following products:

1. Foundation: Sensai, Compact Case for Total Finish. This powder foundation is amazing, especially if you have sensitive skin like me. Not only is it gentle, but it also gives full coverage (by the way, it covers spots so well that you don't even need to use a concealer). I use the lightest shade called Pearl Beige.

2. Bronzer: Giorgio Armani Beauty, Sun Fabric Sheer Bronzer, #100. For those who strive for a complete tanned look or simply just want to add a hint of colour to their cheeks, this bronzer is perfect.

3. Eyeshadow: Helena Rubinstein, Wanted Eyes Duo, #53. This palette comes in a beige and a brown eyeshadow (I always apply the darker shadow in the outer corner of my eyes).

4. Eyeliner: Sometimes, I love to spice up my everyday look with an eyeliner (then I prefer using no or minimal amounts of eyeshadow). My absolute favourite eyeliner is Signature de Chanel in black (#10), which is a stylo eyeliner from Chanel that effortlessly gives you intense-looking wings on fleek.

5. Mascara: Helena Rubinstein, Surrealist Everfresh, #1 (surrealistic black). I must say that this is one of the very few mascaras that actually gives the effect that most women dream of: extremely long lashes.

6. Lipstick: I shift between Ecstasy Shine, #100 by Giorgio Armani Beauty, and Wanted Rouge, #305 by Helena Rubinstein (6a and 6b, respectively). Both of the lipsticks keep the lips hydrated and make the lips look natural, but full.

7. Eyebrow pencil: Let's be honest, I am a complete eyebrow freak. I love to keep my eyebrows thick and prominent. For this, I need the Veluxe Brow Liner (Deep Brunette) from MAC.

Hello, my dears! I am so excited to share with you my very first blog post here on Nouw. Looking back at 2017, I wanted to give you a short review of my favourite trends. 2017 has been extremely influential when it comes to the fashion industry, and so far it seems like 2018 is going down the same path. The wide variety of styles have been exciting for all of us fashion enthusiasts. So far, my top selected '17 trends which are still influencing us today, are the following:

– Plaids. Whether you found an old tartan coat in your grandparents’ closet or you redesigned that kitchen towel into a skirt, you are doing it right. The fine details of plaids had us all entertained – and, of course, we are seeing a lot of this design this year too.

– Baker boy hat. The baker boy hat, aka “newsy cap”, became a huge hit last year. I just simply love to match it with that plaid outfit!

– Leopard prints. Some people may call it “daring”, but I call it “exotic”. Although leopard prints may not be for everyone, it surely is one of my favourite trends. I like to wear my leopard prints with some red, a colour that has been taking every fashionista by storm lately.

– Faux furs. Can’t say no to multicoloured fluffs.

– Pearls. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend…Wait a minute! If you noticed, pearls have been attached to almost any piece of clothing, even to handbags. I adore the fine accessories, but I must admit that sometimes I get a little bit worried about those delicacies coming off my clothes.

– Leather. Last, but not least, leather in all forms and shapes. Leather certainly gives every woman that alluring look. My favourite purchase of faux leather has been a pair of trousers with pearl beads from Bershka – the details are beyond flawless. I am showing you guys an image of them below.
