In the weekend Miro's host brother and I went skiing in Beijing. It wasn't real snow though, luckily it's not that cold yet! The "snow" was made of plastic, which I have never tried before. I snowboard and that wasn't that good, since the snowboard didn't move down the hills. I think it's because the snowboard maybe has too big a surface to gain speed, because the people who skied did totally fine. Although, the view from the top was good. If you ski I would recommend it, but not if you snowboard.
We had our first day with relatively bad weather for Beijing standards. 260. So we all wore masks. I've bought one that should be quite good and lasts for a long time. The ones the others wear don't last as long, but it highly depends on the amounts of smog, wether you can wear the white ones for a couple of days or maybe more than a week.
When winter comes the air will get way worse, since people turn the heat on. So looking forward to that...
