Big Brother Naija Winner Laycon is the most successful BBNaija housemate ever and this is why

Undisputedly, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) is the most popular reality in the African continent. And for that fact, everyone who steps foot in the house automatically tends to be celebrated, whether the fellow is ejected or evicted from the show. Let's have a look at Vanessa Williams, well known as Vandora, who happened to be evicted first from the third season of BBNaija, she now handles a verified Instagram profile with about 572,000 followers as of 24th June 2021. Isilomo Braimah, who was also the first housemate to be evicted from her season, that's the 4th season, also has 237,000 and more Instagram followers. The last person I will look at, Kate Jones, mostly referred to as Ka3na, who was also the first housemate to be evicted from the recently ended season, season 5 also has a verified Instagram profile with more than 852,000 supportive followers. One might be wondering, why all these names. These are individuals who we can say had the last position in their respective episodes. But we attest to the fact how well they are celebrated with this little data.

Big Brother Naija has so far hosted 5 seasons, with 89 housemates in total. And with the above scenario I just cited, which is a clear indicator, that they are all doing marvelously well after their respective shows. The show tends to add so much value to the various housemates. And this value after that show is channeled in so many fields. Some happen to use that value in their personal businesses. And we have many of them who have gotten themselves great endorsement deals. The season 6 of BBNaija as reported by is set to start in July

With all these said, there's one other fact that can't be argued on, that Laycon, the winner of the BBNaija season 5, who's known in real life as Olamilekan Moshood Agbeleshe, is the most successful among all the other 88 housemates hosted by Big Brother.

As stated earlier, some housemates ended up channeling their stardom in their various businesses, while others got themselves been flooded with ambassadorial deals, but the almighty Laycon, happens to be benefiting from both of the above-mentioned. Laycon, was an underground artiste struggling day in and out to get his music out there and be heard, but to no avail. But after his season of the BBNaija, he's got 3 of his music crossing a million views on YouTube, with one getting closer to 2 million views. Also, he's also gotten the chance to feature great talents like Teni, Mayorkun, and many others, which he wouldn't have gotten the chance if it hadn't been for BBNaija. And now, any new releases of Laycon tend to enjoy massive airplay, from both the digital platforms and traditional media.

And talking of the ambassadorial deals, its enormously wouldn't even allow me to list them all here. Currently, Laycon is collaborating with Showmax, an online video subscription platform, in their ongoing series 'I am Laycon'. Laycon also received a Government appointment, as the Youth Ambassador for the Ogun State at the end of his season of the reality show. The appointment is said to have come with a 3-bedroom bungalow, and a sum of 3 million Naira (USD 7,300). And with all that, he expected to impart his good virtues and integrity in the youth. Dapo Abiodum, the Governor for Ogun State, believes that this initiative will help reduce some social vices like robbery, and others. Some mega endorsement deals he had also include that from Oppo, a consumer electronic company, GoTV, a paid TV terrestrial service in Africa, Mentos, a mint company, and many other companies.

On his 27th birthday, Laycon was surprised by one of his top fans, Icon with a Mercedes Benz E350, which is worth 12 million Naira (USD 29,200). Not forgetting the 85 million Naira (USD 206,800) worth of cash he received for winning the BBnaija season 5. Olamilekan Moshood Agbeleshe is rich and famous. And looking at how well the people of Nigeria and Africa at large adore his persona, he's going to stay on top for long.
