Hello everyone!

Today I will write a summary of my month in New York!

Forst of all I started to search for a cheap home to live in at N.Y so I can spend my money on else than food and roof over my head. Then I began to look at different flycompanies and combined different offers.

After a week I took of to USA, I was so excited!!!

When I landed, my host family came to me and welcomed me very nicely. We went home and they showed me my room and all the others too.

In the afternoon we went to Centra Park, The Metropolitician Museum Of Art but also lots of other places. In the evening (afer all walking) my legs and feet felt very sore and weak, but it's okay because I had so fun!

The next day I went to a cafë by myself and there I met two fellas which I became very good friends with.

After that we celebrated the 4th of July, it was so beautiful and we looked together at all of the fireworks!

Then we went to a football game and we also visited The Times Square and The Empire State Building.

I had SO muck fun with the family and I aleady miss them, even tho we left the US for abaut 10 minutes ago!

Thank you so much family Thompssons! I will miss you all!

Today I visited Times Square, I was supposed to go there with my host family but all of them is at their work or school. But it's okay, I went with my other friends therefore and we had SO fun! We took a lot of pictures and filmed a vlog so I can show my relatives at home that video when I come home again.

Here you have a little facts about The Times Square:

Times Square in New York is the most visited place in Manhattan. This crossing, also known as "The Crossroads of the World", has many colorful LED screens and is filled with different personalities. It is a place in the city where it takes most selfies and is a must for tourists. Not long ago, Times Square was not so special, but in the 1990s, Mayor Guiliani and Disney Corp. changed. the intersection of the light and architecture spectrum it is today.

Hope you enjoyed today's blog!

Today I was at Empire State Building, it was very high and big and I were actually invited to go in it because the dad in my host family right now is working there. We went up all the way to the top and we ate cookies and milk, it was pretty scary actually to be up there but you get used to it after a while.

Empire State Building is a skyscraper and a officebuilding. It is situated in the Fifth Avenue och 34th West Street in Manhattan in New York.

The bilding were started to built 1929 and was opened 1931. The building has 102 levels and is 381 metres high.

I decided to go there because of it's impressive popularity and powerfulness.

Hi again, today I am going to tell ya'll about the american football game I went to yesterday. It was very fun and exciting to watch something else but soccer at home in Sweden. The teams were: New york Jets and New york Giants.

I became to think of a strange thing on the way home and that was that it were food EVERYWHERE at the game, they were selling hotdogs, popcorn, chocolate, drinks... You name it. I guess thats more usual to americans cause I mean, I got full after two small hotdogs and that was like their beginning of eating.

The final score was 11-17, The Giants won with 6 points but I'm glad even tho "my team" didn't win, it was a fair game and thats what counts!

I look forward to the next game in next week!!

Hello, today I will tell you when I celebrated 4 of July with my host family, it is very interesting to see how they celebrate their national day in comparison with Swedes.

In the morning my host family woke me up at 9 o' clock and sang their national song. I got embarresed because I do not know the lyrics so I just tried my best.

Later on we went downstairs to eat breakfast together and we ate sandwiches, crossiants and drank apple juice. It was very tasty!

When it started to get dark outside, we went out to watch all the fireworks from our neighborhood and neighbors who waved and wished us a nice evening.   Then (at about 9 pm) we ate dinner. It was something new on the table for me. It was green jelly, it was very sweet but it tasted very good and I liked it!

I hope y'all are having a nice day/ night, depending on where you're from:)

Hi, today I went to a café by myself with my tourist guide and bought a coffee. Then I went to a table and sat down. Later on two fellas came to me and asked me where I'm from and I told them Sweden, they started to look very confused and asked where its situated and I only said "far far away" and they laughed, we decided to go to a mall and shop a little bit and we bought matching t-shirts saying: "I'm Superman" and all people we met started to laugh at us and point at us. We thought that it was fun to please all shoppers and decided to buy similar hats too. We had a very fun and we had pretty much the same interests, like horseriding, like tacos and love christmas! I think we are going to hang out tomorrow again!

Hello! My name is Maja and this is my brand new blog. Right now I am in New york, at my host family. The family contains 3 people, There are a mother that is called Sia but her real name Siana. The father's name is Nicolas. They got a son too and his name is Ryan. Ryan often play football and basketball and last time he went playing I joined him and we had very fun and we laughed a lot! Ryan and I have became very good friends and we go visiting places together pretty often. Last time we went to a place called Central Park. Central Park has got a lot of things to look at, for example you can go to a museum that is called "Metropolitan Museum of Art", but you can also look at many things outside, including 20 playgrounds, 48 fountains, monuments or sculptures and 36 bridges. One of the sculptures is an image of Alice in Wonderland. This 11-foot tall statue sits upon a magic mushroom off 75th Street in the lower east side of the park. She's surrounded by the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire cat and plenty of fascinated little kids.

This is their beautiful house and it is very luxury and expensine, Therefore I can hardly touch anything because I'm afraid to break it, I'm so clumsy! I mean... only the pool costs about five hundred thousand dollars! I feel very rich by only being in this house even if I don't own it, but it feels good to tell people that I live here:)
