I have had this Nars highlighter in my collection for a little while now but never got around to trying it and today was the day. I have the shade Fort de France, which is a warm champagne colour which I think would look flattering on quite a lot of skin tones. Personally, I don't like highlighters that are too light as I find they can look ashy and although this shade is pretty basic, it is very flattering.
This formula is buttery soft and it looks very natural on the face, it doesn't look powdery at all. It doesn't pick up an overload of product on a brush, which I really like because it allows you to have more control when applying it. The only other highlighter I had tried previously from Nars had some small flecks on glitter in it, but I'm pleased to share that this highlighter doesn't.
It does show up a little bit of texture on my skin but to me it's not as obvious as with some other highlighters I have tried. I think if you're concerned about texture on your cheeks you would still enjoy this as long as you are careful to not apply too much.
Before and after of applying Nars Fort de France highlighter
Overall, I like this formula a lot. It's one of those highlighters that actually looks more glowy than shimmery so if thats what you look for in a highlighter this is one to try. I'll definitely reach for this regularly. This highlighter retails for £29.00 on the Nars website. Thanks for reading and stay safe!
