I was looking through my eyeshadow collection today and realised I have a palette, the Dose of Colors x Iluvsarahii collaboration, which I never reach for. I think the main reason is that there is one shade that I know I don't find flattering on my skin tone and as there are only a couple more shades in the palette, I just don't open it up when I'm wanting to create an eye look.
This palette holds a lot of sentimental value as it was a Christmas gift from my boyfriend, so I wanted to make sure I didn't damage either the packaging or the individual eyeshadows themselves. Luckily there was a gap in between the eyeshadow pans and the packaging so I didn't have to damage either. The main shadows I wanted to depot were Sunglow, Palmas and Wanderlust but I started by trying to see if I could loosen the glue of Poquito Mas (as this is the shade in the palette I don't really like) so if I accidentally broke the eyeshadow I wouldn't be upset. It moved quite easily so I moved on to the shades I wanted to take out.
For those of you wondering, the pan size is the standard 26mm and the pans are magnetic so this whole process was super easy. The only tool I used for this was a metal spatula which I got on Amazon a while ago. Luckily I didn't have to use a lot of force to depot this as it was just a bit of glue attached to the cardboard but I was very careful and took my time depotting just in case.
I can't decide on whether or not to keep the black glittery shade, Finders Keepers, while I do like it, I'm not sure that I'd reach for it anymore than I do right now as I don't really use black eyeshadow in general. I did however end up depotting the peachy shade called Loungy after testing it on my lid as it looked really nice.
This is the result! I'm really happy now that I have them depotted and I think I'll use these eyeshadows more often now that they're with my other single shadows. I want to keep the original palette as I love the packaging and try and make it into a magnetic palette and use it for travel, it's nice and sturdy and having a mirror would be so useful.
Thanks for reading and stay safe!
