      Black Friday Wishlist 2020

      Saturday, 14 November, 2020, 2:00 pm

It can be super easy to overspend during Black Friday when you see really good deals so I made a list of all the things I'm considering buying during the sales. This way I can try to avoid making purchases purely because they are a 'good' deal,

      pat McGrath Lust Glosses

      Photo taken from patmcgrath.com

Recently I have been reaching my Pat McGrath gloss a lot, to the point that I've almost used it up! I love this gloss formula a lot, it's so comfortable and feels so luxurious. I think I'll pick up some more in this formula as well as a replacement for the one I've almost finished.

      Terra Moons single shadows

      Photos taken from terramoonscosmetics.com

I've wanted to shadows from TerraMoons for a while now but I wanted to wait until their Black Friday sales as a lot of shadows I want to buy are quite expensive and it adds up quickly. I'm most interested in their iridescent chameleons as well of some of their standard duochromes. Right now I'm trying to compile a list of shadows I want to buy and hopefully there will be some good discounts.

      zoeva 237, 238, 240 eyeshadow brushes

As I have slightly hooded eyes I usually reach for smaller brushes to have more precision when doing eyeshadow. I've noticed that these work really well when I want to place eyeshadow down with more precision. I have been reaching for these brushes a lot and I think it might be good to have multiples of them as they're basically always dirty. As I'm quite lazy and don't like having to wash my brushes more frequently I thought I'd pick up some extra of these brushes.

      Empty Magnetic Palettes

      Photos taken from anastasiabeverlyhills.co.uk

Along with buying more single shadows, I have to get something to store them in. I like these empty palettes from ABH, they have a very strong magnet in them so eyeshadows are super secure in these. They also are the perfect size to stand in IKEA Alex drawers which is a plus. I don't love that the glitter on the outside packaging isn't encapsulated so thats the drawback of these palettes for me, they feel kind of rough to the touch. But to the honest I don't mind all that much.

      beautyblender SOLID Cleanser

If you have ever tried and failed to get foundation out of your brush when you're cleaning it, this product really is the answer to your prayers. I've gone through 2 already and I hate the fact I need to repurchase it because it's way too overpriced. That's why I've been holding out to buy this until the Black Friday sale. I'm thinking of buying the big size which usually retails for Β£40 which is so much money, I'm hoping to at least get 25% off if not more.

I've been curious about this product for a while. I really like the Charlotte Tillbury Hollywood Flawless Filter and use it most days I'm wearing makeup. As I like the way that product performs I'd like to try this one out too. It's not overly expensive but as I'm unsure of it I've not bitten the bullet yet.

      natasha denona palettes

      Photo taken from cultbeauty.co.uk

I'm not sure I'd buy any of these as they are so expensive! I know that last year Natasha Denona had a 30% off her palettes for Black Friday but even then I'm not sure I could go through with it. I've been lusting over the Gold palette for ages now as I love murky greens and warm mustard tones. The Star palette didn't receive the best reviews when it launched but I have since heard the formula has been updated and it's way better now. This was the first palette that I saw from the brand that I was really drawn to and I have to say I'm still really attracted to the colour story. The mini Star is quite cute and contains some of the colours I'm most interested in. It's not that expensive either so it's a bit more realistic of a purchase for me.

      false Eyelashes

I've been more experimental with my eye looks this year and along with that I've wanted to try out more false eyelashes. As I have hooded eyes, I find a lot of falsies don't suit my eye shape so in the past I've not always had the best of luck finding styles that are flattering. I thought that in the years sale I'd buy quite a few and then figure out what I like on myself. Right now I'm still unsure of which ones I'll get but I'm planning to pick up a fair amount.

What's on your Black Friday wishlist? Thanks for reading!

      Summer Wishlist

      Saturday, 27 June, 2020, 1:47 pm

Hey everyone! I don't know about you but whenever seasons change I tend to go through phases of wanting to try different kinds of makeup. Right now it's finally summer here in the UK and it's been nice out (although right now its chucking it down outside ) so I have been more interested in stereotypical summery makeup products.

      Milk Matte bronzer in Baked.

I would like to say that I entirely blame my friend Lisa for wanting this. As a side note, she also has a blog and posts pretty similar content (including indie eyeshadows) a link to her blog will be at the bottom of this post! After she told me how much she likes it I started looking up swatches and other reviews and now I have convinced myself I need it. It's a cream bronzer that is described as a super blendable formula that looks natural on the skin, which sounds perfect to me. I've also never actually tried cream bronzers before so I'm excited to see how it works on me, I'm just waiting until it comes back in stock to pick it up.

      Fenty Sunstalk'r Bronzer

Another bronzer? Absolutely. I have been faithful to my good old trusty Benefit Hoola bronzer but I feel like it might be time for a change. I've only tried a couple of things from Fenty but liked them all, so I'd love to try some more from their range. One slight dilemma I have is I can't decide between the two lightest shades, although I think I might be leaning more towards Shady Biz.

Fenty Lip Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick

This name is ridiculously long but I have to say that I understand why the name is so long, I like all the adjectives here. It's no secret that I am a fan of sheer, balm-like lip products. I love Fenty's gloss formula so I think I'd probably enjoy this formula too. The shade range is gorgeous too, as usual Fenty knocked it out the park with their colours. I'm eyeing up Cookies & Cocoa and Tang Thang but to be honest all the colours are so great I'm having difficulties choosing between them.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Mini Dewy Set Setting Spray

I don't really know why but I associate summer with mini setting sprays, I'm guessing it has something to do with travelling but again I'm not sure. Anyway, ABH released some minis of their setting spray, which I have never tried before. I haven't tried the original scent as its coconut scented, which isn't my favourite scent, so I was excited to see they had released two more scents (the other scent is mango). I'm not sure that this spray actually extends the wear of makeup, I assume its more like MAC Fix + than Urban Decay All Nighter. Either way I'd intrigued and will hopefully be able to pick it up soon.

If you want more content like this, definitely check out my lovely friend Lisa's blog!

Indie Brands I'd love to try

      Saturday, 2 May, 2020, 1:31 pm

Devinah Cosmetics is a brand I've been aware of for a couple of years, it's a brand that's often featured in single shadow dupes for popular or unique shadows in 'mainstream' palettes. When browsing on their website there have been quite a few shadows that have caught my eye, including their most recent launch, the Candy Cakes Collection (pictured below). I love a good shimmery duochrome and this brand has a whole lot of options. I'll hopefully be picking up some soon!

Glisten Cosmetics is a brand that keeps on popping up on my Instagram explore page, especially this particular set of their Wet Liners, which is a pastel bundle. These work in the same way that SUVA Beauty's Hydraliners do, they're water-activated cake liners. These kinds of liners are so easy to use as it feels like you're just painting liner on you eyes, plus if you make a mistake it's so easy to fix with water. Although this does mean they don't have amazing stay power, its still easier to be creative.

Another brand that keeps on popping up on my Instagram explore brand is Tammy Tanuka, or Sigil Inspired by Tammy Tanuka (I'm honestly not sure) which I believe is a Russian brand, hence the general confusion about the brand in general. What I am certain about though, is that they make the most magical looking pigments. I really want to buy so many things from this brand! Also the names of these pigments are so damn creative and if you know me, you know I love a good concept and theme.

Kaleidos is a brand that again, has been on my radar for a while. They're most famous for their 6 pan palettes, of which they have five. I love the colour stories of all of them, although the two that have really been Futurism I and the Futurism III. Also the packaging is so beautiful, I would buy them all if I had the money I can't lie. More recently they released their Space Age Highlighters, which are super beautiful. The one that I really like the look of is the shade Sky Walker, which looks like it has a nude base with blue reflect. It kind of reminds me a bit of the Becca X Hatice Schmidt collaboration which I missed out on, so I think I'll have to pick this up for that reason.

Thanks for reading and stay safe!
