My Single Eyeshadow Collection 2020 (Clionadh Cosmetics Stained Glass Collection)

      Wednesday, 14 October, 2020, 1:00 pm

I had to split my eyeshadow collection into two parts as sometimes I'm not able to continue working on posts if they contain a lot of images, so here is the second part!

In the first part I didn't include any of my Clionadh Stained Glass eyeshadows as I store them in a separate magnetic palette. This is partly due to that these are some of my favourite shadows in my collection, as well as the fact they're in rectangular pans, so I'd find it less aesthetically pleasing if they were stored with round pans.

      POTENTIAL DUPES

In my previous post I tired to swatch similar shades next to one another so I thought I'd share some more shades that look similar. I wouldn't say there are any exact dupes here and for me personally, they're different enough to feel like I need all of them.

      Brand Abbreviations

      DC: Devinah Cosmetics

      UD: Urban Decay

      CC: Clionadh Cosmetics

      Thanks for reading!

      Devinah Cosmetics Haul

      Saturday, 22 August, 2020, 4:12 pm

I have been really enjoying using the shadows I bought from Devinah a couple of months ago, so I was eager to buy more from their range. I ordered during their last restock as I wanted to pick up some shades from a collection I missed out on last time I ordered and thought I'd share some swatches too.

When I last ordered from Devinah I was also curious to see what their Sugar Drops formula was like, but at the time they were all out of stock. I ended up picking three shades from that range this time.

Taffy Bomb shifts from periwinkle-purple to pink.

Sugies shifts from a fresh green to pink. This shadow was the most flakey and almost chunky out of the ones I ordered.

Gumbles shifts from pale gold to green and at some angles even hint a bit blue.

In my previous haul from Devinah, the shade Asteria blew me away so much that I HAD to pick up two more shades from their Galaxy Dust shadows; so I boughtMessier and Celesta.

Messier has a warm, mid-toned purple base with a periwinkle-sky blue shift. This shade reminds me of Clionadh Abrasion.

Celesta has a warm gold base with a green-gold to almost blue-grey shift in certain lighting. This shade also reminds me of a Clionadh shade, this shade is similar to Corrosion. (I have plans to do some comparison swatches of similar shades in my collection in the future.)

Saudade is a deep warm, muted army green. This shade is a lot deeper and more neutral than shown in the product images on the Devinah website so just keep that in mind depending on what kind of colour you're after. This shade is the only matte I purchased, as I don't own many deep green mattes.

      swatches

All swatches are on bare skin and taken in different lighting.

I think it's safe to say I'm officially a Devinah fangirl now! As you may be able to guess already, I do have a list of some more shades I want to purchase from them in the future, I have my eye on the Xploder collection in particular. If you'd like to read about Devinah shadows, I have another post on my blog.

      Thanks for reading!

      Clionadh Cosmetics Haul (Mulitchromes)

      Saturday, 4 July, 2020, 5:10 pm

It's no secret that I'm pretty much a Clionadh Cosmetics stan at this point. I ordered these shadows back in February for their April preorder and I have been patiently waiting for this order since then. Due to the world events that started back in spring, it took a bit longer to get to me and received my order in mid-June. This is no shade towards Clionadh, they were amazing at keeping everyone updated on what was happening which I really appreciated.

This order was essentially me buying the shades that sold out before I had the time to add them to my cart. The shades I missed out on in their January sale were two eyeshadows in their Stained Glass collection, Bloodline and Opulent. I decided to add some shades of their regular shadow formula to my order just to see what the rest of their range was like. I picked up three shades from their Woodlands collection and one from their Witchcraft vs. Alchemy set.

      Stained Glass Collection

Bloodline has warm burgundy base that shifts to a deep purple and has flecks of blue, green, gold and red shimmer particles. This shade is insane. This is one of Clionadhs vibrant multichromes which were released at their beginning of this year and I'm so happy I was able to get my hands on it. I am considering buying more of their vibrant multichromes because I am so impressed with the amount of colour and sparkle this one shadow contains.

Opulent has a cool rose gold base, with a green-gold and bronze shift and glitter particles. This is one of those shades that the longer you look at it you see more colours until your brain gets overwhelmed and stops working in the best way, you're just left thinking it's pretty. Opulent is one of Clionadhs glitter multichromes which are my favourite formula from them, so I'm not surprised that I love this shadow so much. This colour is a great addition to their range.

(Just as a side note if you're worried about the "glitter" in these shadows, they're not actually glitter, so these are not harmful for the environment.)

Woodlands bundle & Witchcraft vs Alchemy

Honeycomb is bright, warm gold with large gold and green shimmer particles. This shadow reminds of their Stained Glass collection in a sense because whereas the other shades I picked up from their standard collection have more of a satin finish, this one seems to have a more glitter-like effect. This shade reminds me a lot of Urban Decay Half Baked, but more shimmery and of course Honeycomb also has some flecks of green shimmer which are so beautiful.

Pixie Ring is a pale pink-grey with a silvery sheen to it. I thought this shade would be a standard pink shimmer and didn't expect this shade to lean as silver as it does, I'm not disappointed! Although this shade is a satin, it is more metallic compared to the other shadows I bought. It gives a lovely shimmery effect on the lid, this is a unique shade in my collection because of its tone.

Dahlia is a warm orange-gold satin duochrome, which it looks peach from certain angles. This is a another shadow that on paper is a pretty standard but Clionadh just know how to make things more exciting and intense. I don't own anything quite like this so I'm excited to have a shade like this in my collection.

Arcana is a satin neutral pink with a pale blue duochrome shift. I was expecting the base of this shade to be more of a warm brown base as thats how it looked in the pictures I had seen of this shade online. This shade me of Huda Beauty's shade Twlight. I think this shade it pretty but not super unique, however of course this formula lovely as to be expected from Clionadh.

Wearing Opulent on the lid and inner corner

I tried to catch the shift of these shades on the eye, again it's so hard to catch the true magic of these shadows in pictures so you'll just have to trust me that these are spectacular in real life. I am really happy with all the shades I picked up! I hope these swatches come in handy if you're considering buying something from Clionadh.

If you're wanting to see more content about the Clionadh Stained Glass collection, I have one post showing swatches of the other shades I own as well as a post where I apply them on my eyes.

Thanks for reading and stay safe!
