      The Ordinary

      Friday, 2 March, 2018, 6:42 pm

After hearing so many great things about the brand over the past few years, I recently picked 2 new bits of skincare from The Ordinary. I know extremely little about skincare, so this definitely is a learning curve.

Ever since the age of 14 I have struggled with acne. Although now I am able to control a much of the problem through eating healthily, I'm still constantly dealing with blemishes. Hopefully these products will help me on my journey to have clear and glowing skin!

I ordered these products of the Deciem website as I everywhere else I looked for them didn't have them in stock. So they seem to be very popular items! I would however recommend buying them from another site where you can get free shipping, as I had to pay £4.99 for shipping. I paid £4.20 for the Salicylic Acid and £5.00 for the Niacinamide + Zinc.

I have been using these products every day for just over a week and I have noticed some purging, especially on my chin. Overall my skin feels slightly more mattified after using the Niacinamide + Zinc (which is always welcome as I am quite oily) yet it doesn't feel drying. I find that the Salicylic Acid (which should be applied topically to blemishes) work quite well too. I will have to wait another week to see anything conclusive but so far I don't dislike the products.
