2017 was definitely a crazy, exciting and successful year for me. I graduated from school and finished my A-level, traveled a lot, started my Au-Pair year in NYC and experienced moments, I will never forget.

                                                             Travel

My year started in a very good way- going skiing in Switzerland with my family and a good friend of mine. It was an awesome week, we had so much fun going skiing and enjoying the winter wonderland.

My next travel was directly after I finished my A-level exams and was also with a very good friend of mine. We went for a few days to Amsterdam to discover the city, look at awesome art and just have fun.

After my graduation and prom I flew with a lot of friends to Mallorca to celebrate the end of our school time.

Before I started my Au-Pair year in NYC my mom and I went again to Switzerland to calm down a little and relax. Switzerland is just as beautiful in summer as it is in winter, but so different!

                                                Festivals/ Concerts

I am a big fan of going to festivals and concerts and think it is one of the best experiences you can make. In 2017 I started the festival season at Big City Beats, which was my second year at the electro festival and with very great DJs and musicians it is just amazing. The next festival was Nature One, more like a techno sound festival, which was also such a great experience, I can only recommend.

My next festivals and concerts were in NYC, it still feels so crazy to make such amazing experiences in a city like New York. First, I went with a friend to the Global Citizen Festival, where we saw celebrities like Hugh Jackman or Oprah Winfrey and musicians like the Chainsmokers, Pharrell Williams, The Killers and Stevie Wonder in the middle of Central Park. After that I saw Mura Masa at Terminal 5 in Hell's Kitchen, one of the best concerts I have ever been on! As well as Mura Masa as Terminal 5 were so incredible. Last but not least the Imagine Dragons concert at Barclay Center in Brooklyn, also an amazing experience.

Big Step: My Au-Pair Year in New York City

At the end of August my big adventure, being an Au Pair in NYC, started. Since then I experienced a lot, whether it is going on concerts, meeting new people, exploring the city or going on travel. My family visited me already and it was just amazing to see my loved ones again.

Travel to Washington D.C.

                                         Christmastime and NYE

Christmastime in NYC is exciting and beautiful and was definitely a thing on my bucket list. Although I was very happy to fly back to Germany for Christmas to see my family and friends again. I love NYC, but I was so happy to be back home even though it was only for a short time. I was always happy at home, but since I am gone for one year I appreciate my home even more.

For New Year's Eve I flew back to New York, to experience that event in one of the most exciting cities in the world. I celebrated with friends and it really was a very nice evening.

All together I had an amazing year 2017, so cheers to an hopefully similarly positive 2018!
