Delicious pita with deep fried crispy chicken, pickled red onion, mozzarella, feta cheese, tomato, salad and garlic sauce!
YOU NEED THIS:
1 clove of garlic
1 -2 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
3 DL/300 ml flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons maizena
About 3 dL/300 ml light beer
Salt and pepper
1 red onion
1 dL/ 100 ml vinegar
2 dl/ 200 ml water
1 dL/ 100 ml sugar
Pickle the onions. Slice the onion finely. Add to a bowl. Mix together the ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil. Remove once the sugar has dissolved. Add it to the onions and leave in the fridge as long as possible.
Prepare the sauce and the vegetables.
Heat up the pita breads in the oven.
Cut the chicken fillets into cubes. Mix together the beer batter. It should be thick. Mix together the paprika, cumin and garlic spice and add to the batter. Heat up a deep pot with oil. Test if the oil is hot enough by adding a chop stick or similar and see if it starts bubbling.
Dip the chicken pieces in the batter and then into the oil and fry until golden and crispy. Leave them to dry on some paper.
Assemble the pita and finish off with some fresh coriander ☘️
