German Lemon Sponge cake (Tysk Citronkaka)

Here's a recipe for a classic
German Lemon Sponge Cake (Tysk Citronkaka)🍋🥧

Served on a 1970s vintage enamel plate 😍

English version

Ingredients
150 gram margarine or butter
3 eggs
2 dl (under 1 cup) sugar
1 pinch salt
shredded lemon zest
3 dl flour
1 tsp baking powder

• 1 dl = 1/4 cups •

Do This
1.) Bread and butter a baking dish, about 1,5 liters.
Preheat the oven to 175° C (roughly 347° F).

2.) Melt the butter/margarine.
Whisk eggs, sugar, salt and the zest a few minutes until white and fluffy.

3.) Blend butter/margarine, flour and baking powder into the batter.
Pour everything into the baking dish.

4.) Put the dish on the bottom of the oven for roughly 45 min or until done.

Serve and enjoy!

Svenskt version

Ingredienser
150 gr margarin eller smör
3 ägg
2 dl socker
0,5 krm salt
rivet citronskal
3 dl mjöl
1 tsk bakpulver

Gör Såhär
1.) Smöra och bröa en form, ca 1,5 liter. Förvärm ugnen på 175 °C.

2.) Smält smöret/bakpulver.
Vispa ägg, socker, salt och citronskal pösigt i en skål några minuter.

3.) Rör ner smör/margarin, mjöl och bakpulver i smeten.
Häll allt sedan i formen.

4.) Ställ formen i nedre delen av ugnen i  ca 45 min.

Servera och njut!
