Who is La Dolce Musica?
Sometimes people ask me why my blog is called what it is called, because for me the name is really descriptive! First I thought about La Dolce Vita. It is when you think about how sweet life can be, but in my case music also makes me really happy. La dolce musica means literally "the sweet music" in Italian, I interpret music which gives you a good vibe or makes you experience different feelings. All music is not happy all the time, but the way it is delivered fascinates me. There is so much to talk about when it comes to music and the way one can express oneself with music is endless.
This blog is mostly about music and all things that come to my mind. I'm new here, but I have been blogging for almost two years in Ratata. Everything started during a gig in Turku where I met Nanó, the person responsible for the content in the blog portal of Ratata. She asked me to join their blog community and it has been great being a part of it. Now it is my time to start a new!
There are probably many who don't know me from before, but you will get to know me through this blog as it proceeds. Here's a small introduction anyway!
I'm a city girl from Helsinki who has been living in a small village close to Jakobstad for two years and many have stamped me as crazy for doing this. "How can you live in the middle of nowhere??" have many asked, but my answer is clear. I need to experience different things, and as crazy I am about nature, this didn't seem as a bad of an idea after all. Living in a tiny village was one of the crazy things I wanted to experience. What brought me here is another story, but I'm never afraid of accepting new challenges! My life in the village can be read in my older blog (although this one is only in Swedish)!
City people don't need to worry anymore, because this city girl is returning to the city, but before I go into that (another post) I will shortly tell you who I am! The girl behind La Dolce Musica blog is a talkative engineer with a passion for music. On top of that I love nature and its beauty! Other things I like to share are adventures from known and less known places. Less known places are more interesting, because you never know what you can come across. The first picture is taken during one of my trips from south of Finland to Terjärv and this sunset got me to stop for a moment (or a couple). I don't remember the exact location, but it is at least by one of the few thousand lakes in Finland!
One of my favorite destinations is Morocco, a country with much beauty. My love for Morocco is not only because of my paternal roots, but it is a place anyone will fall in love with on their first trip. Just like me. During my whole childhood and youth, I have been wondering how it is to live there, but during my exchange period in Al Akhawayn I had an unforgettable experience! I have many places in my heart and more places are growing on me in one way or another. My blog starts now and I have added some old posts from my previous blog with "this week's artist" and interviews. Next week's artist is full of bling bling. It is a surprise and you will find out on Wednesday!
