Greetings from Budapest! Sunshine, ridiculous amounts of amazing food, incredible architecture and friendly people pretty much sums up my experience of this beautiful city so far. Promise I’ll tell you all about it once I’m back home. Until then, enjoy the rest of your Easter weekend!
Last time I checked in here I was just about to start a new block in school, and now I'm suddently down to the last week. It's gone crazy fast and it's been a lot of fun - but by now I feel exhausted. I'm working in the kitchen every other week right now, managing the first year students. And I've actually really enjoyed it! Learnt quite a bit as well. But 10 weeks in and I feel kind of done with it. I'm doing morning shifts, meaning I have to be in school by 7:30 every morning... and I am NOT a morning person. At least it's getting easier as the weeks pass. 10 weeks ago I woke up to total darkness outside - now I open my curtains when the alarm goes off and I can see the morning sun painting the neighbouring building golden and the sky over the lake pink. Makes it a lot easier to get up. And the prospect of 10 days off starting Friday makes it even easier to cope with. I have some really exciting travelling plannes, and I'm going home for a few days as well. Can't wait to see my family and relax for a bit before I take on phase 3 starting next block!
