breakfast in paradise

Hi sweeties! We landed in the Maldives last night after flying from Langkawi to KL and from KL to Male. We arrived at the hotel late last night so everything was dark. We were greeted by a 2 m. long nurse shark at the pier, which was so fascinating! Then we were shown to our room (which is so cute and very natural and cosy), ordered some pizza and rather quickly went to bed. We woke up pretty early due to jetlag (this must be the perfect jet lag - love waking up early, rested and fresh) and went to have a look at the island. It's very small - it takes approximately 10 minutes to walk by the ocean all the way around it. Then we went and had breakfast. The breakfast at Asian hotels is always the best. I had the following freshly cut fruits every day: yellow passionfruit (my favourite since it's even more sour than the purple ones), mangosteen, watermelon, mango, dragonfruit, pineapple. I also had green tea, a latte and a scrambled eggs every morning. Love eating healthy when on vacay and this selection makes it pretty much impossible not to eat clean. The first day, we also went on our first snorkelling trip where we saw 17 black tip sharks (excluding multiple baby sharks), 1 white tip shark, two Hawksbill sea turtles and loads of different beautiful fish! Very excited about the rest of the week here in the Maldives, it's truly my favourite vacay destination on earth and I'm so happy to be back. Ready for a week of snorkelling, tanning, having good and healthy food and just relaxing!
