Soon I'm going on vacation to the lovely island of Majorca and I thought it would be fun to show you what I'm going to bring there in terms of skincare products. I got a bunch of deluxe size samples from Cult beauty earlier this spring in their spring goody bag, and now I get a chance to use some of them (I was waiting for the perfect occasion, such as a trip). I’m also taking with me some of the products I currently use and which I know works for me.

Products shown in the picture: Verso Super Facial Serum, Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser, Alpha-H Liquid Gold, Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Cell Revitalise Night Moisturiser, Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm, and Hannes Dóttir Seamasque. I haven’t used these products yet, so I’m going to cite what the Cult beauty site says. Later on, I could do some mini reviews of these products.

Etude House My Beauty Tool Jellyfish Silicone Brush, I’m going to use this instead of my Foreo Luna 2 (here’s my review of the Foreo Luna 2 ). This silicone brush exfoliates, massages and cleanses the skin. I bought mine from Cosmetic Love .

I got some samples when I made orders to Cosmetic Love and Jolse. Here's Jolse Blotting Paper, Missha Geumseol Guk Essence, and TonyMoly Bio EX Multi-cell Energy (essence). I'm not going to bring my essence I normally use, so these will do it. And the blotting papers will be handy when my face shines to much due to all the sunscreen I'm going to put on me.

Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser

Tata Harper products are 100 % natural and doesn’t contain any synthetic ingredients. According to Cult beauty this is a gentle cleanser that eliminates every last trace of makeup and dirt, it unclogs pores, clarifies and detoxifies without stripping. The cleanser contains fruit enzymes that exfoliates the skin. This would be the “ultimate ‘second-step’ cleanser” according to Cult beauty. The Purifying Cleanser is rated five stars on Cult beauty.

OmoroviczaThermal Cleansing Balm

According to Cult beauty the Thermal Cleansing Balm “is a nightly cleanser and super fast make up remover”. It contains natural extracts and minerals. The cleansing balm strengthens the skin barrier which I found interesting.

Hannes Dóttir Seamasque

A 100 % natural mask, which I found wonderful. A mask for tired and dull skin, it tightens and hydrates the skin. The mask also calms the skin, perfect to use after a long flight. I checked the ingredients list and it contains only six ingredients, one of my favorite masks contains almost five times more ingredients.

Verso Super Facial Serum

This is a serum that contains a 0.1% concentrated dose of Retinol 8 Complex. According to Cult beauty this serum “smooths the appearance of wrinkles, strengthen the skin barrier, reduce pigmentation and supply the skin with more much-needed energy and oxygen to refine and illuminate without irritating”. I’m so excited to try out this serum, and I think I’ll really love it.

Alpha-H Liquid Gold 24 Hour Moisture Repair Cream

This cream contains 24ct gold flakes, I’m going to love it. According to Cult beauty his is a rich and rejuvenating cream that stimulates “sluggish cells and actively ‘undoing’ signs of damage while maintaining moisture levels”.

Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Cell Revitalise Night Moisturiser

This moisturizer contains many interesting ingredients and it’s said to provide “long-lasting hydration without clogging pores or exacerbating congestion”. This moisturizer is free from synthetic fragrances, parabens, mineral oils, silicones, sulphates, propylene glycol, phthalates, GMO, PEGs, TEA and DEA. The best part is that this moisturizer is cruelty free.

I use these products every day and these products are Etude House Real Art Cleansing Oil Moisture (cleansing oil), Missha All-around Safe Block Total Moisture Sun Gel SPF50+/PA+++ (sunscreen for face and body), Rose water (I use it as a toner), Missha Super Aqua Ultra Waterful Eye Treatment (eye cream). The key word for these products are moisture. I really like these products, and I'll do a separate post of my skincare routine where I tell more about these products.

I'm looking forward to try all the new products, and I have a feeling that I'll like all of them. Maybe I'll do another travel essential post showing the makeup I brought with me after my vacation.

Foreo is a Swedish brand and Foreo was founded in 2013. Foreo has a few different skincare devices, e.g. Luna 2, Luna mini 2, Luna go. According to Luna 2 “gently exfoliates dead skin cells, unclogs pores and removes up to 99.5 % of dirt and oil”. The silicone design is hygienic, and according to it’s 35 times more hygienic than standard nylon cleansing brushes. The Luna 2 has also an anti-aging mode, and the anti-aging mode is supposed to smooth and firm the appearance of the skin. The best part is that you will never need to replace the brush head.

I got my Foreo Luna 2 in January this year. I wanted for a long time get a skincare device, and I thought about the idea for almost two years or longer. I was long torn between getting a Foreo or a Clarisonic, I decided to get a Foreo. The only problem was that a Foreo device is expensive, and being a university student I don’t have that much extra money to spend on a skincare device. And in December @foreo_nordics on Instagram had giveaways every day until Christmas Eve, and I was one of the lucky winners. I almost cried when I found out that I won.

I have oily or oily combination skin depending on the season and, really, what my skin decides to be on that day. I get oily in the T-zone, but anywhere else I have pretty normal skin. I chose the Luna 2 for combination skin, because I thought the model for oily skin looked a little gimmicky and I don’t have that oily skin, and the model for combination skin looks similar to the model for sensitive skin (in the past I have reacted to some ingredients, but I don’t know for sure which ones or if it was a combination of some ingredients, but I’m trying to avoid them as much as I can).

After the first use I immediately notice that my skin felt clean, like it has never been that clean before without feeling tight. And I noticed that my skin looked also brighter. After a few weeks, I had significantly less breakouts. I get quite easily breakouts, especially when I’m stressed (hello uni life). I agree with that my skin looked more radiant, felt firmer and definitely was a lot smoother.

I use my Foreo both in mornings and evenings. The Foreo vibrates all the time and notifies you to move on to the next part of your face, it’s easy to use. After one minute, it’s time to rinse your face and then continue with the anti-aging mode. I did notice that my creases on my forehead got less visible when I used the anti-aging mode, but everywhere else there wasn’t a big difference. In my opinion the anti-aging mode is not necessary, if you don’t really, really need or want to use the anti-aging mode. If you think you don’t need the anti-aging mode, then I would personally choose the Luna mini 2.

I love this skincare device! It’s one of the best things that has happened to my skin. It’s so gentle and gets rid of dead skin cells, so my skin looks bright and healthy. I stopped using my Foreo a month ago, because I use a cleanser that is not suitable to use with a Foreo. During this time, I have noticed that my skin doesn’t look as radiant and healthy as it used to and I get more often breakouts and painful pimples. The cleanser that I use is the Philosphy The Microdelivery Exfoliating Facal Wash, the clanser has some kind of beads (although not plastic microbeads, which is important) in it and therefore the cleanser is not suitable to use with the Foreo. I also use an oil cleanser, and I haven’t tested to use my Foreo with the oil cleanser. The oil cleanser I use has a milky texture when it comes in contact with water, so the oil cleanser and Foreo would probably be a wonderful match.

Tl;dr: I absolutely love this device. My skin feels smooth, radiant, firm and clean without feeling tight. I rarely get any painful pimples while using the Luna 2, although I still get breakouts but not as frequently as before. I would recommend this device to everyone.

Hello, and welcome to my blog! I’m a beauty enthusiast and I’ll write reviews and other beauty related posts here on my blog. Makeup and skincare is a hobby of mine, so I’m in no means an expert. I hope you’ll like my blog.
