This is a tortilla recipe I really love and have personally used!

it is easy and done in about one hour!

Time: approx 45 min. Prepping: approx 15 min and it yields around 20 tortillas!

What you need:

6 dl of all-purpose flour.

1 tsp salt

2 tsp baking powder

2 Tbsp lard (you can always use coconut oil)

2 1/2 dl water


1. Combine all the dry ingredients a bowl and mix it in.

2. put in the lard (or coconut oil) into the dry ingredients and use your hands to mix and make it look like cornmeal (crumbly)

3. pour in your water into the bowl of dry ingredients and form a dough consistency.

4. Put the dough on a lightly floured surface and knead it for a few minutes.

5. Divide the dough into two parts and put one of the dough into the bowl and roll the other dough on your working surface.

6. Take a knife and cut equal sized dough parts and roll into balls.

7. Turn on your skillet (or just a normal pan) medium-high heat.

7. Use a well-floured rolling pin and roll the dough balls into a thin, round tortilla.

8. Place as much tortilla bread on your pan as it can fit and wait until one side turns golden brown.

9. when one side turns golden brown flip the tortilla with a spatula and the same on the other side.

10. Repeat the process until you are done.


TIPS: Put a lid on so it creates steam and therefore it will be more bubbly and nice.

Tomato soup with Spaghetti + Any topping you want

Time: approx 40 min depends on how quick you are.

Servings: Ca 3 bowls

1 whole yellow onion

2 garlic cloves

1/2 a leek

1/2 spring onion

1 tsp of sugar

250g of fresh fettuccine spaghetti

6 tomatoes

1 egg


1. Take a large pot and fill it with water, pour olive oil (or rapeseed oil) and 1 tablespoon of salt.

2. Wait for the water to boil up and put 250g of your pasta into the boiling water, stir and put the lid on.. ALWAYS STIR THE PASTA EVERY NOW AND THEN, YOU DONT WANT YOUR PASTA TO BE STUCK ON THE BOTTON OF THE POT OR BE STUCK TOGETHER!

3. chop up the tomatoes into 4 cloves, 2 garlic cloves smashed with the back of your knife, and mince 1/2 of the yellow onion and also cut the leek.

4. take a pot that is large enough to hold a large amount of liquid and pour a generous amount of rapeseed oil. Put on the highest temperature.

5. add in the yellow onion into the pot and the 2 smashed garlic cloves and make it sizzle. Stir and add 1 tablespoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of grinded black pepper. Stir again.

6. When the onion turns a bit yellow put in the tomatoes and stir it again. Stir it until the tomatoes starts to soften and releases its juices.

7. When the tomatoes has softened and released its juices add 1/2 of the leek you have cut and 1/2 of the spring onion you have cut into the pot. Also add 1 teaspoon of sugar to balance the acidity.

8. Stir the pasta and check if it is al dente. if it is take a strainer out and strain the pasta water.

9. When the tomatoes has softened enough it is ready to pour in 4 cups of cold water. (one mug of water)

10. Stir the soup and taste it. If it tastes bland put in the rest of the 1/2 spring onion, minced yellow onion and leeks that is left and add some salt.

11. put the lid on the pot and put it to a boil, stir.

12. Crack an egg and whisk it with a fork, and then pour it slowly into the BOILING soup to cook it and stir it gently after. if it is not boiled the egg wont cook fast enough to become solid and it will be mixed with the tomato soup as a liquid and it won't taste good.

13. leave the lid off to reduce some water.

14. Taste again and if you're happy with the taste serve it!

Here is a recipe for bread making

This recipe yields one loaf if you want two loaves double the measurements


TIME: 30 Min Proofing and 30 Min cooking

Total of 1 hour.

25 Grams of Active Dry Yeast

2,5 dl fingertip warm water

25 grams of butter in room temp or fingertip warm

1 teaspoon of salt

6 dl all-purpose flour

+ Any toppings you want the bread or on the bread.


1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

2. fill a mug with 2,5 Deciliters of fingertip warm water and pour it into a bowl

3. pour 25 grams of active dry yeast into the bowl with water

4. Mix well. There should be no lumps in the water and it should look cloudy

5. In a Separate bowl add 6 dl of all purpose flour and 1 teaspoon of salt

6. Mix so the dry ingredients are combined.

7. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.

8. also pour in the 25 grams of butter into the mixture

9 Mix everything Together so it forms into a dough if you want to get into it with your hands and knead with them

10. put the dough back into the bowl and put a plastic wrap or a clean towel on the bowl and proof for 30 minutes on a warm place (example stove top).

11. Take the bread dough out and knead it lightly for 20-30 seconds on a clean surface. DONT OVERDO IT

12. Put the bread dough in a Bread form (grease it if it isn't non-stick).

13. Put it in the oven for 30 minutes on the next to last shelf in the oven.

14. Take out your bread after 30 minutes and wait for it to cool down a bit

Let's talk about spices.

spices and herbs Are a crucial part of cooking., it is an easy way to add tons of flavor to your dish and a great way of cutting back salt.

The definition of spice is ''an aromatic or pungent vegetable substance used to flavor food''


Today I am going to write about 3 spices i personally believe is the most used ones and the most important ones. (The list may vary depending on the person).

1. Ginger. Ginger has a lot of uses, it can be used in meat dishes but also vegetable dishes. you can also get creative and use ginger in marinades to add flavors to your protein but also include it in juices and cough syrups. it has this spicy-ish taste if you bite into it.

2. Basil. Basil has many uses, it can be used for proteins and it pairs very well with pasta dishes. If you pinch a basil hard enough it releases this scent that can only be described as refreshing and it tastes like a mild citron with a hint of sweetness. It is also good for marinades and perfect for lamb and fish

3. Cayenne pepper.. Cayenne pepper has this tangy and spicy taste when you eat it and it feels like it is burning in your mouth. cayenne pepper might sound spicy but believe me it adds a lot of flavor to your dish. cayenne pepper pairs well with seafood, fish, eggs and sauces.
