It's the last day in England and what happened the day after I made the vlog... yup I caught the flue (typical). I'd planned to go shopping with my dad and have some meals like fish and chips - god it was a long time ago I had a nice crispy fish with big REAL chips. For some reason there are barely any fish and chips stands back home in Sweden, it sucks. Anyways getting side-tracked, I'm sorry that I haven't been very active on social medias btw but again I got sick which sucks. All I've done for the last couple of days is watch Netflix using the crappy hotel wi-fi and eat all the leftover snacks from the bumpy taxi ride here. I mean even though it's pouring rain outside - is it just me that thinks of the "it's raining it's pouring, the old man is snoring" song everytime someone says that it's raining?? - I still would've preferred to get drenched in the rain carrying shopping bags then doing things that I could've done back home you know.

Anyways I've tried to do as many foreign things as possible even when I was helplessly sick, I watched way too much coronation street, ate loads of Cadbury chocolate (DELICIOUS)  and also tried to go on some walks admiring the beautiful nature England has to give. Again I'm sorry for this inconvenience but I promise to make it up to you guys very soon! XOXO

So I finally arrived you guys, the plane was delayed and I landed 12:40 AM instead of 11:00 PM... there were a couple of bumps on the way - (literally) the roads haven't been done for a while now so the entire taxi ride here consisted of all the snacks I'd bought at M&S at the airport fly, all over the place since for some stupid reason my lazy-ass didn't zip my bag shut properly.

Anyways we arrived at the hotel we're staying at which is very nice btw, it's located right by the Oxford Canal near the town square and Castle Quay, it's got fairy lights and vines draped all across the front of the hotel and you guys know how much I love taking cute pics to put up on my insta so good choice! Just as you walk in the front door you get this amazing feeling of home, you know when you've been away travelling for quite some time and you come home and get a feeling of comfort and warmth, that's what it felt like when I walked through the doors for the first time, even before I met the owners I felt like we were welcome. The entire aesthetic of the place was very "homie" as I said and there's a lot of warm dark and neutral colours and textures like shades of brown, dark-reds, navy-blues, woods and brick. There's also a lot of literature which personally only is visibly pleasing suppose to being entertaining (I'm not the biggest book-fanatic as all of us know). Other than the looks of the place there's not much to it, the foods good, they serve the typical English meals (English breakfast, beans on toast, bangers and mash, Yorkshire pudding...) nothing tropical to me, the bedrooms where what you expected, just like the pictures online, oh and the backyard isn't much either, it's similar to the front with all the fairy lights but other than that theres only a couple of swings and some tables to eat at (if it's nice weather which most of us familiar with the English forecast knows that the odds of there being sun in January isn't very high). The owners of the hotel where very kind though even if we arrived at 02:00 AM and quite obviously interrupted there probably very peaceful sleep. (Again, sorry for that)!
