Hihi, I’m so bad. In America, I’m bad, but in Sweden I’m taking a bad. Bad in swedish means a bath. For example “I’m going to the bathroom, I’m going to take a long and warm bad” Bad = Bath, live with it.
We all have pricks in our class, but swedes can have pricks all over their body, or clothes. Sometimes we draw a prick. In plural it’s not pricks tho, it’s prickar. Prick simply means dot. For example “I put a prick over my i.” - Prick = Dot, live with it.
If a Swede gives you a gift, don’t take it. Gift means poison, and they are trying to kill you. For example “Here is some gift, don’t drink it, you can die.” Gift = Poison, live with it.
I have never really wanted a barn, American’s call me crazy, and my grandma started crying when I told her. Sometimes I think I will never be able to have a barn because I won’t get married or find my “true love”. - But what’s so important with a barn? You can just have a house and that’s perfectly fine, right? Well...barn in swedish means kids, children, young adults, whatever you wanna call them. And yeah, I’m not having kids. For example “This is my barn, her name is Ema.” Barn = Kid, live with it.
Wait a minute, bra is something women has on them so their tits don’t fall to the ground, or? Bra in swedish mean good, or good job. For example “What a bra student you are.” Bra = Good, good job, live with it.
To have kids you have to have sex, right? No, no really, to make an apple pie you need sex apples. Yes you are right, your way of making babies or our number for six. Sex = Six, live with it.
Instead of screaming fuck, we scream fack. Well if you hear a Swede say it don’t worry, it’s just their way to explain in what box the papers are in. For example “The history paper is in the left fack.” Fack = Box, live with it.
Thank you for reading all 11 words and maybe you got a laugh out of it, if not, show your parents this post and they will hate me even more. Thank God I didn’t let you know that kock isn’t what men wear, it’s the profession that makes you food. Thank the lord again that I didn’t let you know that a kock is a chef, and nothing else. ;)
XOXO Ema with on ‘m’
