Green Fashion: Past, Present or Future?
The best way to make changes - it's to change, start from yourself.
There are numerous reasons and ways we all can do to support green slow fashion.
1. Reforming Existing Garments
Let's face it: most of our clothing can be remodeled. Our old clothes can easily be revoked for a new life, sometimes giving us a completely new style without having to buy new ones.
2. Climate Change
Style contributes more than 8 percent of every ozone-depleting substance and, if things proceed with no guarantees, by 2050 in excess of 25 percent of the whole worldwide carbon spending will go to this one industry.
3. Women’s Rights
In the entirety of our meetings with laborers and the investigations that we have perused in the space, the issue laborers care most about is compensation. Article of clothing laborers—the vast greater part of whom are ladies—for an assortment of reasons, are the absolute least paid workers on the planet.
4. Shopping Habits
We're advised to reuse (just to be informed that it's pointless in light of the fact that a lot of that is going to landfill, in any case), vote when the opportunity arrives and shop "economically".
Small steps in our daily routine can make a big difference for our environment today, so we could enjoy it tomorrow.
This is where the real power lies. Fashion is a consumer-facing industry, and in this, consumers have real power—power to be vocal about their expectations.
