Hello there wonderful souls! How are you doing today? I hope you are doing perfectly fine! I thought I would share the recipe for my homemade plum juice that was SO delicious with you guys. Daniels parents have two big plum trees that were filled from top to bottom branches with sweet and yummy plums, of I couldn't resist filling two paper bags to the top! Unfortunately, I did not have the energy or time to take care of it all so a lot of it got bad during the 7 day work week I had. I am still very happy with the almost 2L of plum juice I got though. Next year I will plan better and use my time as well as I can.
Rinse and cut away the seeds from 2kg of plums. Put them in a big saucepan and add 1.4L of water. Let it boil until the plums are all soft and easily brakes before mashing them with a skimmer thingie. Lay a kitchen towel in a colander over a big bowl and pour the juice in it. Let sit and self-drain for an hour, if you have the patience. Measure all the "clean" juice per litre and pour it into a saucepan again adding 4dl of sugar per litre juice. Let it boil for a couple of minutes before pouring it into well-cleaned glass bottles! Let it cool and enjoy! Daniels mother made a plum juice without any sugar at all that is very yummy as well.
