When I began photographing years ago, I soon discovered that I was drawn to photographing close-ups. For some reason that has always been my thing. I have so much to learn when it comes to portraits & humans, the same goes for landscape photography. But when I take up a camera just for fun and start shooting close-ups, I don't even think. I just do.
I think I was 12 when I got my first camera. It was a small turquoise digital one that I used SO much. I loved walking around the garden taking pictures of everything I saw, which pretty soon became flowers/plants and insects. I think I love capturing insects mostly because you never really get a chance to look at them and see their details. But once you have a close-up you can. I especially love those shots where you can see the insects wings. I think they look so amazing!
