Hello beautiful people! I haven’t written in a couple weeks. But I’m back now! My 2021 has been going well for the most part. I’ve had negative thoughts but I’m working really hard on staying positive. I wish I would’ve written this post earlier, but better late than never. So, in this blog post I wanted to talk to you about New Year’s To-Do list or how to make 2021 a good year! Let’s start!
Make a list of goals for this year, big or small. Write it on paper and put it on your wall so you can read it everyday. Some people also like to make a vision board, which is a great idea as well. This is important because goals are one thing that keep us going. Keeps us hopeful and motivated.
Read books that are positive. I have so many non-fiction and self help books and let me tell you, they have changed my life. I read every day positive books to help me stay motivated, inspired and happy. Some of my favorite self help books/inspiring books are “You Are a Badass” by Jen Sincero, “Big Magic” by Elizabeth Gilbert, “Kindfulness” by Caroline Millington and “Good Vibes, Good Life” by Vex King.
Wake up early. This is easier said than done, but let me tell you, I feel so much more productive and motivated when I get up early. I personally don’t get up at 6am, my “early” is 7:30-8 am. I love waking up early. I get so much more done and feel great.
Do something to get out of your comfort zone/try something new. I’m starting in February this Mindfulness class and I’m excited because it’s me stepping out of my comfort zone and meeting new people.
Start making To-Do lists. This helps me feel so organized and by making a To-Do list I actually get more things done.
Keep your environment clean. This is very important in my opinion. Sometimes when our environment is messy, we feel messy, if that makes sense. So it’s important to have things in place so we feel more in control. I always have to keep everything organized and clean or else I can’t focus on anything. I wash dishes like three times a day, clean my kitchen after making something to eat, I pick up clothes from the floor and make my bed every morning. I have to keep my apartment clean because it makes me happier.
Journal. This is important for me. I don’t journal every single day but I still try to do it as often as I can. I write affirmations, goals and things I’m thankful for. This makes me really happy and connected to the Law of Attraction.
Eat healthy, drink more water and exercise. This is truly life changing. Get into the habit and routine to take care of your body, mind and soul.
Work on your mindset. I still struggle with this one. I try my very best to stay positive and happy and most of the time I am. But of course everyone has bad days or bad moments or sometimes a negative mindset. But it’s important to always look for the positive thing in each moment and day.
Let go of your past/move on from 2020. In my last blog post I wrote about my not so great start to the year. My past was in my mind and I cried because of things that had happened in my past. All the negative thoughts and memories from the past, specifically from 2020 were on my mind all at once. And that’s why I broke down. But I got through that bad moment and bad day. Like I said in the last blog post as well, I had a deep and very important conversation with my boyfriend when I was in that difficult and negative moment. And he really opened my eyes and I realized that no matter how much I want to, I can't change the past. All I can do is learn from it and move on. So I did. I work hard everyday on staying positive and most importantly, live in the moment.
2020 was an awful year. But let’s hope 2021 is better. I can feel that this year will be filled with blessings and growth. Make 2021 a good year and a year to remember.
