How I will change my life

In April I wrote a small list of goals for the next 6 months. They weren’t so big goals, mostly simple, like trying out new coffee shops and so on. In this blog post, I want to go more in depth on how I want to change my life in the next 6 months. We are officially half way through 2021, which I think is insane. Where has the time gone? How can I use the rest of the year to the fullest? Well, let me tell you.


I have been doing the same things all the time everyday, I feel like. I haven’t made a proper routine at night or in the morning either. Every day is different, routine wise. But now, after not doing many changes in my everyday life, that would make me love life even more, I figured it would be time to do some changes. Yesterday evening I journaled and made the decision to change my life, not drastically, but you know, a bit, like I said, to make me love life more. I figured that since it’s Monday, what a perfect, fresh start. Of course, you don’t have to wait till Monday, you can change your life starting on a Wednesday. Whatever works for you.

So, how will I change my life in 6 months? This doesn’t have to be any major things like move or quit a job, or whatever. No. I want to give you some advice that I will start following, and maybe you should, too.

  1. Instant change. Change up your style, hair or makeup. This one might seem stupid or ridiculous, but to me, it’s not. (You are allowed to think what you think) I think it’s a perfect thing to (start) doing if you want to change your life. It’s also about the little things. I know that changing my hair, cutting a bit or a lot, dyeing or whatever, really makes me feel like a new person and it feels like a fresh start.

  2. Redecorate, rearrange or move. I did this not so long ago. I moved my desk from our living room to our bedroom. So, now I have this cute little corner where I can sit and read and write. It has really made a change and I feel more motivated to write and “work” at my desk. Like I said, it’s all about the little things.

  3. Reflection. This one has to do with the law of attraction. If you don’t know what it means, I highly recommend you research it, because it’s life changing, literally. But basically, the law of attraction means that what you think and feel, you attract those vibes, and make it your reality. I think I have talked about this in other blog-posts, but I can write another one about it. But reflection means that with what you think and say to yourself, you create that world around you. Journal, meditate, and think about what your dreams are in life, and think as you already have it. With the law of attraction, you can change your life. But it doesn't happen instantly, it requires patience.

  4. New habits!!! I can't stress this enough. I think that this is the biggest thing to do to change your life. I have many habits I want to do in my life daily. For example, wake up before 7 am, which I did today. Workout regularly, which I’m working on. Write everyday, which I’m also working on. Read at least one or two hours a day, which I have been doing and I’m loving it. It’s all about simple or little things that add up to big things, like happiness. Increase more habits into your daily routine and be consistent with it, and it will change your life.

  5. Get out of your comfort zone. Right now, while writing this, I’m sitting in my favorite coffee shop, drinking a vanilla latte and I also read for a bit here. It might not seem like a big thing, but doing this was out of my comfort zone. I could have stayed in bed today, but I chose not to. And I’m proud about that. Getting out of my comfort zone has really opened up doors for me, I feel like. I can’t wait until October when my school starts, and I think it will be a big thing I will do this year. I’m so excited, but scared. But it’s a good kind of fear.

  6. Have 3 bigger goals and a mid year bucket list. I have 3 simple, bigger goals. Write everyday, workout frequently and get out of my comfort zone. The post I made in April, about my goals for the next 6 months, I guess I can call my mid-year bucket list. I have spoken a lot on my blog about goal setting and how important it is. Write smaller “bucket list” goals and 3 bigger goals. Work on those things everyday, put those habits (that you’ll do about your goals) into your daily life.




It’s all about staying consistent about things you do in life, habits and routines. I have for the longest time put off things, been lazy, stayed in my comfort zone and so on. But I am tired of it. I want to make changes in my life, and I am, because I want to love my life more. I love it already now, but I know I can love it even more. It will require discipline, but I’m ready for it.
