A question we often get is: If there´s a God then why is it so much hate, hurt and war in the world?

"The nations whom Israel defeated were thoroughly corrupted by violence and depraved practices-including bestiality, incest and child sacrifice. After giving them centuries to change their ways, God said "It is by all these things that the nations that I am driving out from before you have made themselves unclean."- Leviticus 18:21-25; Jeremaiah 7:31

DOES GOD TAKE SIDES IN WAR TODAY?

Christians are not authorized to fight against their enemies. The apostle Paul wrote to fellow christians:
"If possible, as far as it depends on you, be peaceable with all men. Do not avenge yourselves"- Romans 12:18-19

So insted of sending his followers to war Jesus told them: "Continue to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may prove yourselves sons of your father who is in the heavens"- Matthew 5:44-45
Even when the nation in which they live goes to war, christians should remain neutral. If God wants his worshippers in all nations to love their enemies and to remain seperate from the world, how could he support either side of a violent conflict today?

And even though it is war and persecution we still have our assignment to focus on. We have to share the gospel to every tribe and every nation. There is still so many places that hasn't heard about the good news of what Jesus have done for us.

WILL WAR EVER END?

War will end when no one has the desire to wage war. Consequently, God's kingdom- a real goverment that rules from heaven- will soon act to disarm our planet and to teach humans to pursue peace. The bible assuresus that God will
"set matters straight respecting mighty nations far away. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, nor will they learn war anymore"- Micah 4:3.

The bible teaches that under God's kingdom there will no longer be national governments competing for their own interests, unjust policies prompting citizens to revolt, or prejudice that fuels ethnic divisions. As a result war will vanish.
"They will not cause any harm or any ruin" God promises, "because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters cover the sea."- Isaiah 11:9

Being imperfect like a good friend or even someone you would consider to be your best friend, might say or  do something that hurts you. And of course you are not problem free either.

"We all stumble in many ways, anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check"- James 3:2

And the internet can be a help. It can be so hard sometimes if you see on social media and you see that your friends have a get together and all you can think about is why you weren't invited to come along.

But there are a few things that you can do that could help. And you can learn how to address the problem.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

"Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools"- Ecclesiastes 7:9

CONSIDER THE BENEFITS OF FORGIVNESS

"A person's wisdom yields patience; it is to one's glory to overlook an offence" - Proverbs 19:11

LETTING COLD AIR INTO A WARM ROOM

Sometimes bringing up all the problems in a friendship is like opening a door over and over again and letting all the cold air into the warm room

CONSIDER THE OTHER PERSON

"Not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Hej!
