Today I honor the women around me. My mother who made me dinner everyday when I was a child. Today at the International Women's Day I honor my grandmother who told me her story how it was to grow up in a world of war. She talk to me about the importance of peace. Her values influenced me to make the choice of studying Political Science and deepen into the questions around Democracy. A few years later I was ready to study European Business. My career dream was to work as a office holder in the European Union. However the way to go there was so much harder than I ever expected. I faced many difficulties in life but along the way I was inspired. Since I was a child I been living with my mother and watched her intensive work creating the most beautiful handcraft. That is a design school of life and the other design school I been going to after that can't ever compete with what I learned from her. Her mother, my grandmother, was also very good in crafts. One of my memory of her is when we were at a ceramic course. Today at the International Women's Day I honor my grandmother for taking me at crafts work already so early in my life. I believe that what we do to our children affect them. As parents we can give from us what we learnt in life and influence and inspire them. Today I honor the teachers that during all those days in my life when I was a child, not capable of protecting myself from problems during the hours of the day when my parents were working. Today, I honor my childminder- the caring woman that picked me up from school, every time my mother couldn't and brought me to her home, welcomed me and gave me food. Today I honor the older women around me-friends of my mother, my ants-that I grow up together with, the women who guide me through life with their values that sometimes also differed from my families, their opinion, their gifts and their presents in my life gave me a loving and caring feeling that made me reflect and supported me during my teens.
These women have influenced my life and contributed to the person I am today. Their support and correction helped me through life and therefor my minds goes to them today. I thank them for what they did and I honor them
