The year is 2005. It is autumn and the rain hits the large windows of a local beloved art school. The world has dissapeard into the movements of a paintbrush that forms unique lines of different colors on the canvas. All that exists in that moment are the colors and all thoughs are questions regarding the colors such as; which color should the chosen next. Soft voices discuss different mundane, yet comforting topics in the background, they too are surrounded by paint. Nobody dares to even glance at the world outside. The world inside is a product of ones imagination and the world behind the window is the world as it is, reality.
Since then many steps have been taken from the world outside of the windows to the world inside them. If I wouldn't get a toy I wanted as a kid I would draw it and imagine myself having it. If someone told me I was ordinary I would paint the most colorful selfportrait that had ever existed. But what about adulthood, can you paint away feelings of stress, anxiety or even pain? I have 1 mission in life: to understand life. And life can only be understood by making sure to experience every feeling there is and life makes that pretty easy for us.
Every color represents a certain emotion, memory or experience. What if I would paint life every day? What if I could make those two worlds unite, reality and fiction as one? Without sugarcoating anything, I will start a mission to paint one line on a canvas eachday for a few months. The colors and the length of the lines will represent how I felt that day and how long or short the day seemed. If I notice that the painting becomes filled with dark shades I will try to make and effort to create days that awake a more bright side of life and if the painting consist of mostly bright shades the conclusion is: my reality matches my wishes of reality well.
Remember that anything can be made into art even your thoughts on a day to day basis
