The Collab

Yesterday Christian and I went to The Collab to check out their #veganburger. I had seen their menu online and was mesmerised. The Colab is centrally located in Walthamstow and serve local and draft beer as well as some mean burgers. It's a funky place, kind of edgy if you will, with a little bit of attitude.

We went for lunch as it was the last day of the Eat out to help out scheme (50% off!). We got two burgers a big chilly cheese fries to share and two Coca Cola. Now hadn't it been for the 50% the bill would have come out to £37 (430 NOK / $50) which I think is pretty expensive for the UK.

The Vegan burger I got was £13 but it was top 3 best vegan burgers I ever had! Do I think it was worth £13? Maybeeee, but just maybe a little larger portion. This is a new, hip place so the prices will be a little heavier, and I am happy support the local places. Although I must admit I am glad we got the chance to go on 50%!

For the atmosphere, it's cool, nothing special but a vibe warehouse type of atmosphere. Nice to go for a few local beers (£5), and with a nice little outside sitting area where you can watch people on the street. Again nothing fancy but if you are on the hipster vibe and want to try out local draft beer and a little overpriced burgers, in a hip location, this is the place!
