Happy Friday! Most people's favorite day of the week. Start of the weekend and for me it means the last day that J has to work before I get him all to myself for 2 days.

This morning started out early. Well I got out of bed at 9:30 but we didn't go to bed until 3 am so it felt like I was waking up at 6 haha.. Anyways I fed Salina breakfast and then we headed off to the store while J slept in a little bit. Let me tell you .. it is extremely hard to go grocery shopping with a one year old.

I was doing our monthly grocery shopping so we ended up getting a whole bunch of stuff. I ended up filling the basket all the way to the top and once it got to be about halfway full Salina started reaching into the basket and throwing stuff out. So what could've been a 30 minute trip took an hour and a half.

I was just finishing up grabbing the last few things and all of the sudden she starts throwing the biggest fit ever. She wanted me to carry her around instead of her sitting in the basket. So I picked her up and proceeded to push a full basket to check out. It was extremely heavy and very hard to steer especially with one hand because my other hand was busy holding Salina on my hip.

We were able to check out after a little bit of back and forth with Salina. Finally made it home and we just spent the day playing and cleaning.

She went to bed at 8 o'clock and now J is home and we're just listening to music and enjoying each others company.

Have a great night!

Good Evening!

I hope you all have had a great day so far. My day has been pretty slow. Woke up at around 11:30 which is funny because Salina didn't wake up until then either. She let mommy and daddy sleep in today.

So since we decided that we're going to stay where we live now for a little longer instead of trying to get something else I've been on the hunt for the perfect interior for our home. I've spent several hours on amazon today and I can honestly say that I'm not disappointed! I've found pretty much everything that I want and that we need in our home and all together it's still well under $1000. Which is really good because we thought we were going to have to spend a couple thousand to get everything we want.

So below you'll see everything that I've picked out for our home. Keep in mind that when we moved into here we didn't have anything at all. Not even a bed and we're slowly getting everything we want for our house. We would rather get a little bit at a time instead of spend a heaping amount of money at once. But with tax season in full swing we're expecting our refund to be enough that we'll be able to get everything we've wanted.

So first things first is a sofa. I can't decide whether I want a grey or beige one. But these are my top choices right now. I'll have to get J's input too of course. But it'll be between these two.

This is definitely the dining table I'll be getting! I love how simple yet elegant it is.

With this table runner and these place mats it'll add the perfect pop of color to the glass table.

I can't decide which of these end tables I want either and that choice will ultimately come down to which ever sofa we end up getting.

This dresser/ storage unit will go in the hallway for some extra storage space. Paperwork, extra coats and whatnot.

This dresser is for Salina's room. That little girl has more clothes than me and her daddy combined!

These are just a few different candle holders that I want to get. I have three shelves hanging in the living room and I want to add hanging candle holders to either side of them but I can't choose between these two. So once again I'll have to ask J for his input.

Other than that and a few other interior decor items this is what we're looking at and I am pleased! Can't wait to put in the order!

Hey Beauties!

I've been MIA for a little while but I needed to step away from everything and take some time to calm my mind and focus on what's important.

I battle low self esteem on a daily basis and it's because I have a past of being bullied in school. I know people say stick and stones but in all reality words hurt more than sticks and stones ever will. Because of the fact the bruises and cuts will heal but words hit so much harder because they hurt the heard and mind. Words and stick with someone for the rest of their life and control how that person reacts to pretty much everything in their life. I was bullied all throughout school up until the day I graduated. It was hard and it still is because I battle with the words that are still to this day lingering in my head. I am working on not letting them bother me anymore. I've started reading self-help books and I try to tell myself everyday how awesome amazing and beautiful I am. But sometime those words from years ago get to me and I get into one of my funks where I don't want to do anything. I just want to sleep and not be bothered. It's hard for J to really understand what's happening to me when I get into one of these funks because he can't understand what's going through my mind. He tells me I'm beautiful and amazing and all that gushy cute stuff all the time so he can't understand why words from the past are getting to me to the point where I don't even want to get out of bed. Bless his heart too because he tries to make it better. But sadly the only thing that will ever make it better is time. I know that the day will come when those harsh words don't bother me anymore and they tend not to anymore anyways but it's like trying to break through a brick wall. If you chip at it little by little eventually the whole wall will come crumbling down, so yes most of the time the thoughts of my past don't really get to me but eventually that wall comes crumbling down and it all hits me at once. It's hard to handle and I do get depressed. That happened a few days ago and it's a horrible feeling when it happens because I have an amazing life. I have an amazing man who loves me and we share and beautiful little girl. So when the wall does break I just have to step away from everything and everyone outside and just take some time to get my mind back in order. I have to remind myself that everything is okay and I am okay. Once I'm out of my funk I'm as happy and bubbly as ever.

It's horrible that people's words can do so much damage to a person that even now almost 3 years later things from my high school days still get to me. I hope my children never have to feel this way and I hope that they never make someone else feel like this. I love myself. I hope that one day bulling will stop because at the end of the day nobody gains anything from it. Be nice to one another, love don't hate.

Anyways that's why I've been MIA but I'm back now and starting tomorrow we'll have makeup looks finally coming up on the blog! I hope you all have a great night and please remember to love each other because we only get so much time on the earth and we need to make the most of it!

So we ran to the store a couple hours ago and while we were there I grabbed a couple facemasks. Well more than a few, 14 actually but I need them. My skin hasn't been acting right so I need to do something about that.

SOO AE - Purifying Black Charcoal Mask
This one is supposed to soothe, hydrate and boost skin with moisture and improve elasticity for smooth, supple and radiant skin.

SOO AE - Charcoal Clay Bubble Mask
This one uses active binchotan, powerful enough to purify water and is going to refine and brighten skin.

SOO AE - V-Line Chin Up Mask
The supposedly lifts, firms and cares for your chin and jawline by using hydrolyzed collagen and botanical extracts such as ginger, rice, camellia, jojoba oil and sunflower oil.

Masqueology - Charcoal Modeling Peel Off Mask
This purifies, controls pores, calms and hydrates using ingredients like charcoal powder, centella asiatoca extract and betaine

Masqueology - Hyaluronic Acid Modeling Peeling Mask
This mask is supposedly going to hydrate, moisturize, firm and sooth the skin while reducing fine lines and wrinkles leaving the skin feeling youthful and rejuvenated.

Shea Moisture - African Black Soap Clarifying Mud Mask
Using tamarind extract and tea tree oil this mask draws out dirt and congestion in the skin while absorbing excess oil. Leaves the skin feeling purified and refreshed. This mask is supposed to be really good for troubled skin which is what I have right now so I'm looking forward to trying this one!

Found - Cucumber Sheet Mask
Calms and soothes the skin leaving it feeling hydrated and comforted while calming redness using aloe and cucumber.

Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Hydrating Sheet Mask
Using hyaluronic acid the 100% hydrogel mask is going to instantly quench dry skin leaving you feeling hydrated, smooth and supple.

Can't wait to see which of these masks help me out and make my skin feeling as smooth as a baby's butt. Anyways, I hope you guys have a great Saturday night and stay safe!

So hubby said I could order a new makeup palette today and of course I went to Sephora.com and already put stuff in my basket before he could change his mind. I got a palette and a few other goodies.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism Palette -
This beauty is one that so many people have been raving about. Soon I'll be able to play with this amazing limited edition palette!

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel -
Always looking to update my skincare routine so I'm excited to see if this works for me!

Too Faces Primed and Peachy Cooling Matte Primer -
I have yet to find the perfect primer for my skin. I do mix a bunch of different ones right now but I haven't found "the One" so I'm willing to try anything and can't wait to see if this one works for me!

So I'll definitely be uploading a couple different looks once I get these new items. Can't wait to add them to the collection!

Hey guys!

I know I've been MIA for the last couple days and I'm sorry! It's busy being a stay at home mom but it's worth it because I get to spend so much time with my little girl. It also means that not a whole lot happens except for on the weekend. So for the past couple days we've just been playing at home and relaxing. I don't know what we'll be doing this weekend. They usually consist of Salina spending a lot of the with J because he works long hours all week. So we'll see if we cuddle all weekend or get out of the house.

More to come later!

Hope you all have great weekend and stay safe!

Happy Monday! I say as I dread all the things I have to do today. I have to clean my entire house after a weeking of being lazy, I have to make a few phone calls and a few other things too.

I know I didn't blog at all this weekend and that's because J had the entire weekend off, which hasn't happened in a while. So we spent the whole weekend with Salina. Just playing with her and spending time together. It was very relaxing. We were originally going to go to the downtown aquarium in Houston but the weather wasn't the best so we're aiming to do it this coming weekend instead. Hopefully the weather is nice.

Anyways here's a little summary of our weekend.

On Saturday we just chilled around the house. The weather like I said was pretty much gloomy so it wasn't the best weather to go out and do anything. But we watched movies and ate some really good food. J even let me nap until almost 2 o'clock. Which was very much needed and felt absolutely amazing! For dinner we made mozzarella and meatball stuffed garlic french bread sliders with marinara sauce to dip it into. It was so good! But I ended up having to take an antacid later that evening. We put Salina to bed at her usual time and we actually ended up going to bed at around 8:30 that night Because J had a major headache. So we called it an early night which led to it being a very early morning the next day.

I woke up at 2am and couldn't go back to sleep. Most likely because I had slept so much the day before. So I sat up on my phone and scrolled social media and played a few games. J woke up at around 4:30am and felt that he too was well rested. So we were up for the day. We layed in bed and watched Netflix for a little while. Around 6am we heard Salina. So I guess everyone felt well rested. It was an early morning in our house on Sunday. We headed to the store and got the makings for egg, ham and cheese breakfast sandwiches.

We spent the whole day falling asleep at weird times and around 2pm we all were finally actually up for the day and weren't just walking around like zombies, trying to force ourselves to stay awake. We watch some more tv and played with Salina. We chased her around causing her to laugh so hard she had to sit down. It was so cute!! Then come dinner we had nachos and Salina had mac&cheese.

We ended the night watching Scandal and baking brownies.

Now J is already at work and Salina is taking a nap. I myself am about to make a few phone calls and then start cleaning. I hope you all have a good Monday and a great week!

Happy Friday everyone!

I know that a lot of you will be out partying and what not tonight. But that's not my scene anymore. I get to just cuddle up with J and watch some Netflix and enjoy the fact that he has the next 2 days off.

What are your weekend plans?

We'll be turning this weekend into some family time. With the way J works Salina and I don't get to see him as much as we'd like to. You can tell that she misses her daddy so we'll be spending time together. The plan was to head down to Houston and go to the downtown aquarium but from what I've been told the weather isn't supposed to be sunny. Which is what we were hoping for and I really don't like driving in the rain. So we'll be finding something to do a little closer to home. It'll be great no matter what. I love when my little family gets to spend some quality time together because being an adult means you don't always get to do that. It sucks but if we want to have somewhere warm to sleep then you got to do what you gotta do.

So I hope you all have a great weekend. Stay safe.

Good Evening!

I hope you have all had a spectacular day. My day has been fairly slow. I woke up at 9am to my little girl talking to her bunny doll in bed. So I hopped up and went and got her. We ate some french toast for breakfast and then cuddled on the couch, just like we do every morning.

She was feeling under the weather today and had a slight fever. My sweet girl is teething and we think her one year molars are coming in. She didn't want to chew anything hard so we stuck to nice soft snacks and food today.

Chicken and rice soup was on the menu for lunch today and then J and I watched some Scandal on Netflix before he headed off to work.

I watch a little boy everyday while his mom is at work and he was dropped off at 2. Him, Salina and I all took a little nap and then the kids played and watched Moana while I started cleaning up the house. They both LOVE the vacuum for some reason, so whenever I vacuum the house it's like and obstacle course. Trying to vacuum the floor while dodging two one year olds is not an easy task but after a lot of back and forth I was able to get it done.

Then I took to the kitchen and after sweeping and cleaning the kids mess I decided to bake some strawberry and vanilla muffins. I'll post a pic and the recipe right after this post. Salina loved them! I added extra strawberries and some extra vanilla too so they were plenty flavorful that's for sure!

Now both of the kids are sleeping, I just ate some dinner and soon I'll be cuddled up in bed waiting for J to get home and watching Netflix in the meantime.

I hope you all have a great night!
