// Hello, everyone!! Last week, I celebrated my very first Thanksgiving! And it was so much fun to experience it, although it was not such a special thing, but still fun because I never did it before and I had no idea what would happen.
Thanksgiving is celebrated the fourth Thursday of November, so last Wednesday, I and my host family traveled down to Washington D.C to celebrate Thanksgiving with my hostmother's side of the family.
The whole day everyone was busy, my host moms sister and the kids grandfather spent the day in the kitchen cooking food, the turkey had to be stuffed and put into the oven, pies were baked and the table had to be set. I tried to help as much as I could but it was like everything went automatically so I decided to stay out of the way, haha!
At 5 o'clock it was time to sit down by the table, and then it is apparently tradition in my host family that everyone should say what you have been thankful for during the year, and I tried to convince everyone to skip me, but it did not work, haha!
The food was absolutely amazing! Although I can honestly say that I did not know what half of the food was for anything!
And for dessert it was like a buffet of pies, but since I do not like pie so much, I only tasted a piece of pumpkin pie, it is apparently tradition to eat a pumpkin pie around thanksgiving.
