On Friday, I was at an Au Pair meeting, and it was Paint Night!
For those who do not know what an Au Pair meeting is, that's a meeting you go to least once a month. The meetings are put together by our Local Childcare Consultant (LCC), and the meetings exists so that the LCC can talk to the Au Pairs and make sure they are all right. And the meetings can be held in any place. Starbucks, in a host family’s home, roller skate ting rinks, restaurants, etc.
So on Friday I was at a meeting, and as I said, it was Paint Night. It was only for Au Pairs in my town because we are so many Au Pairs in Barrington. Zaylia also came, even though she’s not with the same association as me, she is welcome at the meetings.
We talked to the other girls and with our LCC, and I found out that I'm getting a new LCC that’s gonna take care of the Au Pairs in Barrington.
When everyone had arrived, it was time to start painting, we all were going to paint The Newport Bridge at nighttime. There was a girl there who stood and showed how we would do, but can honestly say that my painting became a flop! And it was not a good idea to sit next to Zaylia, because she paints in her spare time, so she was very good.
So this proves that I have no future in painting, but it's a nice memory to have at least! Haha!
