Saknar detta stället alltså :) Så himla lekfull klättring och underbart klimat.
Passa dig John Mayer, I'm coming for you 😌
Greetings blog, pardon me, for the rate o which I update in is downright
demeaning to you my beloved readers. This Wednesday
afternoon, I finally reached the point of utter boredom once more.
So I figured, what better is there to do than to update my blog.
This cloudy and somewhat humid morning we ventured out to Kjuge, slightly east
of Kristianstad in Skåne. This is a well-known place for most climbers, at
least in Sweden.
It is somewhat of climbing Mekka, containing a very large number of boulders and various cliff formations. The day started off with a tour around the area, held by our climbing instructor Fredrik.
Once we reached the old forest, as it is called, most of the water on the rocks had dried up and we unfolded our ``Tacos´´ aka crash pads and got started with the climbing itself.
After a brief warm-up we got started on our first problem, a crack climb. After a number of attempts I finally made it, as did my mates.
We walked over to another rock; this vertical wall was mostly about footwork and therefore not as fun in my opinion.
Finally we headed over to our last problem, a high ball I’d say. With its approximate height of 5,5 – 6 meters I must admit I found it quite scary.
The route itself was not that hard, although the height made it a lot scarier.
Still, only our instructor, I and a mate managed to complete the problem which I found to be one of the funniest climbs I’ve ever done.
Luncheon! Eager to get going again I went out to explore various rocks for future visits. Although me and my mate got stuck on cave crawling, something I definitely want to do more of in the future.
Here follows a short movie depicting me crawling out of a cave. Enjoy! ;)
``How do you pick up the threads of an old life?´´
An introduction of myself might be in order.
I am Ted, and Ted means me. Here follows an introduction of who I am and who I used to be.
I am at the humble age of eighteen. Currently studying at a``Wilderness & Adventure´´ gymnasium in Skåne, Sweden.
Do I have any interests? Well, working out, climbing and most things concerning wildlife and things closely related. I also enjoy playing on my beloved guitar ofcourse.
This blog was created in order for you to be able to share in on the adventures that I take part of in my daily day life.
I do not assume that it will amuse you... However, if it does, that'd be great.
Most of the updates are going to concern my education and what we do.
I hope that you will enjoy reading the content of this blog! Cheers!
The picture below depicts me, climbing a route called ``Finger Jam.´´ It was taken at Kullaberg in Sweden by our climbing instructor Fredrik Rapp. I believe it was a 6- route or something like that.
The conditions for climbing were perfect, we were sheltered from the wind on this side of the mountain and had nothing but blue skies above us and the sun reflecting from the rock, radiating enough heat to keep us warm. It's hard to believe that this picture was actually taken in november, wich in general is a really cold month in Sweden.
