I am going to share with you this delicious and vegan banana ice cream! It is by far the simplest ingredients and an easy process. It is very quick to make and only takes around 10 minutes!
- The main ingredients you need are of course bananas, milk ( any, I use almond or hazelnut milk ), and that is it!
Now to make the ice cream you need to slice as many bananas as you want, preferably 2-4 depending on how much you want. The banana can be old or fresh, I like to use the old bananas that no one wants to eat anymore. Then after you have sliced them you want to put them in any bowl or cup, whatever you prefer, and freeze them overnight. It is best to wait for the next day to be sure they are frozen, although 4-6 hours should be enough.
After the bananas have been frozen you want to get a sharp knife and start to break each slice apart, this is done in the container. Then put each slice into a blender, I recommend a big processor not a small one for juices, as the blender could break. Then begin to add as many slices as you want and a splash of milk. Start to blend slowly at high speed watching how the consistency is ( add more milk if needed ). During the process use a spoon to push down the the ice cream and keep blending. As it gets smoother you can add anything to change the taste I recommend:
Mint chocolate chip
Add chunks of dark chocolate 85% ( Green and Black's ) and a couple of mint leaves 5-8, and blend as usual.
( You can always just add chocolate and have banana chocolate chip ice cream or you can add Green and Black's )
Chocolate and peanut butter
- Add 2-3 table spoons of organic peanut butter ( Meridian Natural Peanut Butter ) and a couple chunks of dark chocolate 85% ( Green and Black's ), and blend as usual.
There are so many different flavors you can experiment with and each taste amazing!
I hope you try this out it is very yummy and good for you, perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a snack during a hot summer day.
