STREET STYLES

Gucci, patterns, bright colours and big prints stole the show at Milan fashion week 2017. The brand who has taken most of the spotlight the past year is Gucci. Gucci went from being a brand no one really cared about to being the it brand in fashion which shows in the street styles at fashion week.

If you want to keep up with the latest trends from Milan you should focus on big statement pieces, oversized clothes, mixed patterns and a touch of a bright colour.

READY TO WEAR

Browns, vintage and oversized was the center of attention at the Marc Jacobs AW17 Ready to wear show and to top it of the show was held on the streets of New York. Marc used high top hats and high hair styles on all of his models to create a red thread through it all. This show became the most talk about show from this years AW fashion week and with all right. Marc Jacobs brought back the old school style with big necklaces, oversized jackets, denim and different shades of brown.

The annual after party by Vanity Fair happens every year and all the biggest celebrities are there to show of their style and party. The celebrities who went to the Oscars red carpet are wearing another design but by the same designer who they collaborate with. A big thing on this carpet was showing skin but with a long with long skirts to hide their legs. Just as I said earlier my personal favourite is Elie Saab but this time he shares first place with Ninas dress by Christian Dior. I love the underwear design but in a dress.

STREET STYLES

Paris fashion week was all about the layers on layers with patterns mixed and matched. For a week the capital of France was filled with bright colours and a lot of different patterns with another layer of pattern over the first one. The women really took a huge space and no one was going to leave fashion week unnoticed.

To follow the Paris trends you should bring out your brightest clothes a long with the craziest patterns you can find. As we saw in New York, layers on layers is a big foundation here as well.

Oscars, one of the most fashionable red carpet. This year we saw a lot of long flowing gowns with sequins and mesh or feathers, it was simplicity mixed with personalized and custom details. It is common to side with designers to create a one of a kind gown for this evening to achive that luxurious look. My personal favourite is Janelle Monaes dress from Elie Saab couture. Elie is known for his breathtaking dresses and this was no exception.
