I had started to loose hope but then I suddenly saw it!! I been looking all over the place for one since I first stepped on Hawaii but without any luck.. So after three islands I started to loose hope and thought that maybe I won't see one, maybe it's not season. So when I was walking along the shoreline here at the resort to take in the new premises I saw one. It was lying right there in the sand next to a lava-rock and had a nap in the sun. I almost screamed of joy because I was finally able to see one in real life! A real living sea turtle just a few steps away from me!!! Ahh!!! It was so amazing!!! I really wanted to go up closer and maybe give it a gentle stroke on the back but I managed to hold back since the sea turtles here are an endangered species and you should leave them alone. You should stay at least 10 feet away, sometimes 20 feet away. Anyway, it was really cool to see it with my own eyes.

P.S. Maybe it's just me but doesn't it look like it is lying in a "nest" on top of some eggs?

As some of you know I have spent some time in Maui last week. We were so lucky to have the beach right outside our house and the possibility to walk along the shoreline in to Wailea. To walk along the shoreline there was so peaceful especially during sunset.

Today was a typical airport day for us. Meaning we pack and leave early to go to the airport, then it's the hassle with checking in, waiting to get on the plane, the flight, get our bags, go to our new destination, nap and unpack and then just chilling by the pool.

Anyway, here are some pictures from Maui. Haha and I had to try the shave ice. I chose the tropical passion but sadly there was no passion fruit in it...

We have arrived to the next island which is Maui. We are renting a huge house right by the beach on the west side of the island. Whenever we fly between the islands here in Hawaii they buy first class tickets for me as well. So it's not really that big of a difference since it's so short flights and the airplane are quite small but the seats are a bit bigger and the service better so that's really nice.

Last night I said goodbye to my new friends in Hanalei since I wouldn't be able to see them this morning. It's nice when you stay long enough in a place to actually make friends.

Tomorrow I have the day off! Yey!! I think I'm going to walk around in the area and explore and maybe do some snorkelling in the afternoon. Today we spent the whole afternoon in our pool but I just had to quickly run down to the beach and dip my feet in it.

It's only 7 pm here but I'm already tired! It is tiring to pack, travel and unpack...

P.S The kitchen is MASSIVE!!! You almost would need a map to find everything in there! But it' great when you are many people trying to cook/bake at the same time.

So last Saturday I went surfing for the first time ever. It was amazing! I fell in love with it after the first wave. It was early morning and raining but that didn't matter. I was lucky to get the best surf instructor out there and he was so great at teaching and very kind to me. Haha we were three girls in my class/lesson/group but after half the time they had had enough so I got privet the other half. It is really tiring to have to paddle back out there again specially since the waves are pushing you back in again. So when Jam ( I don't know how to spell his name but the english way it's g-a-a-m.) saw that I was tired he came in and paddled both of us out again. How nice isn't that!?!

Yesterday I had my second surf lesson but this time it was a different company and a different instructor. To be honest, everyone after Jam are a bit beige. No one can be at the same level of better than him. But it was really fun surfing again and apparently I'm a natural at it haha. The second lesson it was really crowded in the water because the waves were amazing and quite big too. So I learned how to steer and also I stood up much straighter this time. And everyone surfing here are so nice and cheer for you even though you never seen them before.

The pictures are from the first lesson just so you know. And yes, we surf when the red flags are out! And the pictures are not in the right order.

Guess what I'm doing tomorrow! I'm going surfing!!! How cool isn't that?! I'm super excited! I always wanted to try and now I'm going to do it!!! Up early for meet up at 7:30 and lesson begins at 8. A early morning on my day off but I don't care!

The waves today was really big, could get up to 8 meters or something like that, here in our bay. This place is famous for its great surfing so I definitely chose the right place to try it. The water here is amazing and you practically have to drag me out of it.

So, believe it or not but I am actually doing an update!!! Long time ago since last... Anyway, we left LA Monday night and flu over to Hawaii, Oahu to be exact. Oahu is the main island. Yes, main island, not biggest. So it's on this island we have Honolulu and Waikiki Beach and all that stuff. We are not staying in Honolulu but a bit outside at a place called Kailua. We have a super nice beach five minutes from our house and it's not packed with tourists. We been to another beach along the cost, don't remember the name of it, and today we also went to Waikiki Beach. Before Waikiki though we went snorkelling at the super famous Hanauma Bay. It was really cool with all the fishes and corals and stuff but the kids got scared of the fishes so we left quite soon.

Tomorrow morning we fly to the next island called Kauai (I think).

Late, really late, Monday night we finally arrived to our house here in LA after a whole day of traveling. It's Tuesday evening now and I can safely say that I love it here. So far at least! So today I spent the morning with Fraser, lunch with everyone at a beach restaurant and the afternoon I had off so I walked along Venice Beach to Santa Monica Pier. I'm too tired to think of something to write so I just put in some pictures from today.

I feel like I have no time to blog or write in my journal because I spend as much time as possible doing other things. Anyway, we are in Cartagena at the moment. It is so beautiful and HOT!!! We have between 30-34 degrees everyday so here you really have to drink a lot of water or you will melt away. I found a frozen yoghurt shop yesterday and manage to buy one without a problem even though I don't speak Spanish and she didn't speak English. But we had a good time getting that order right! And I also made two new friends, one from Colombia and the other one was from Germany, and both studying communication, plus something else, at the same university/college.

So.. If you guys haven't noticed it is Halloween today! Believe it or not but Isla, Kyra and Fraser had brought costumes all the way from London to here just to be able to wear them today. Everyone that works here had costumes or make up and they had surprises for the kids, the hotel was decorated and everything. So the only people not dressed up was Paul and Rachel and the two parents in the other family. I did a last minute make up just because you kind of had to. I didn't want to be boring so, since I didn't have a costume or anything and only had ten mins to get ready, I quickly changed into a black dress and did a quick makeup. And I'm not kidding, I did it in 10 mins. So it wasn't the best but at least it was something. And after dinner we did a trick or treat upstairs at hour three doors. So the kids got to go around and nock and get sweets. I tried once to say 'trick' just to see what they would do but they just stood there clueless. Haha it was quite fun actually! Anyway, tomorrow we are off to Cartagena!
