Hi everyone! I've been quite busy with my bachelor thesis that I haven't been able to make any blogpost. I'm so sorry for this! It's about 9 weeks left until I graduate so therefore I will be more busy than ever, so therefore this blog will be down until then. I will maybe do a blogpost when I finally have time, but it's no garantee I'm afraid. But if you follow me on Twitter you could see retweets that may be useful for you to look on further.

Thank you for all the support and love you give me ❤

Lots of Love! //

Today I saw on the news that the new musicstreaming service Tidal had been launched. According to many, this service will change the musicindustry/ the development of streamingservices in general. Also Tidal will be a big threat to Spotify, and will maybe take Spotify's leading position of musicstreaming and kill Spotify, many of the sources tell.

The reason of why Tidal can take Spotify's position are many reasons. But the primary reasons that are characterized clearly in the media and from Tidal themselves, is the sound quality, and artists receive more economic compensation from Tidal than from Spotify, due to the fact that the service will be owned by the artists themselves.

I have not tried the service myself, so I don't know exactly how everything works and what is featured, and if it actually is better than Spotify. But of what I've been reading so far, it seems very intresting to explore/ use, except for one thing ... THE PRICE!

Tidal offers two kinds of memberships. Premium and HiFi . Premium costs 9.99 USD / month, and offers standard sound quality like other streamingservices are providing. With an HiFi memebership it costs 19.99 USD / month , and will have very high sound quality as mentioned in the media. But it seems that the price can switch to even a higher price if you're not living in the United States, but I could be wrong. Also I don't know if Spotify are having the same policy in this "issue" .

I am one of those who think that we need to find/ develop better ways for economic-compensation alternativies for music that both suits those who have made the music and the amount that the consumer are willing to pay for. 19.99 USD / month is still very cheap compared to what you get in features. However, I think that others are not thinking the same and will therfore get more motivated motivated to download music illegal or listen to music on YouTube for freeand find other ways to download content for free - If Tidal will be the only streamingservice every artist are making a deal with. I think Spotify is still a leading example to follow, to offer free membership for the user or as they recently launched a membership that companies can subscribe to. Those kinds of memberships does not yet exsist at Tidal, because Tidal is more about individual user experience in this early phase.

One thing I do not understand with this hysteria is why artists / record companies should preferably move to another service and not be on all at the same time. Why not sign up for all sorts of streaming services to prevent piracy in general? Why not focusing primarily on making better/ new deals within the recordcompany and the industry itself to be more up to date and flexible with our consumer era that we live in - to make better economic growth in the musicindustry and its future? If we could focusing on that, then the musicbusiness will change to the better.

We can't only use Tidal to make that happen, as I think the media and those in favor, are currently and only exposing.

I have discovered a new show, Empire it's called. Have seen two episodes so far, and I haven't ever felt that special feeling of a TV-show before. It is the best show in every single way. And the Music...OH MY GOSH! ❤ I have goose bumps x 1000000000000000000000000000 and more!

Famous musiccomposers and producers like for an example Timbaland or Jim Beanz have done the music to the show! (Wikipedia, 2015). Really recommend this song to all musiclovers! Especially to those who love Hip Hop and RnB. 🌟
