So, I was thinking about my life and the society during the 1300s and the society we have today. Being a woman during the middle ages involved having NO rights whatsoever, no property, no power etc. Women had to manipulate and sometimes GET RID OF men in order to obtain some rights in the marriage haha. This is not how it is today, you lucky ducks... I know though, that being a woman in 2016 isn't all rainbows and unicorns anyway. The patriarchy is still a big thing that must be stopped and men are still the dominant gender, especially in certain countries. Men shouldn't be the dominant ones according to me, women should be the ones controlling the men. Men should bow down to women!!
However, back to my story.. I am a widow, and It was seen as something negative to be a widow during the 1300s. However I wouldn't play by those rules and in fact I've been a widow several times (5 times to be exact) haha #noregrets. People see me as a rebel because of this, especially the church since they did not agree with my way of living. But whatever right? Because even if the church has its opinion of me I still go on most of the pilgrimages and behave like a devoted christian (even though I don't participate in the pilgrimages due to religion, but because I want to see the world, shhhh, don't tell the priest! ;)) Like I always say, "experience is the greatest authority".
So this was basically what was on my mind and it feels really good to have written it all down. Comment down below if you have any questions or something to add!
