Finally Christmas is here! It's me favourite time of the year - NOTHING beats this season (in my opinion). I'm - and don't judge me for this - the type of person who gets into their christmas-spirit right after Halloween and I havn't held back at all. As I'm done decorating the house, I've spent the day creating a holiday makeup look. I went for a halo-eye. I've used four different colours, two brushes, and it's pretty easy.

Step 1: Prime your eyes! It's important if you want the look to last all day.

Step 2: Take a neutral colour and apply it all over your lid with a fluffy eyeshadow brush (I used Zoeva 227). This will set the primer and make it easier for you to blend your colours.

Step 3: Take a light colour (I used a light pink) and apply that on the inner and outer corners with a semi fluffy brush (I used Zoeva 231). It's important that you don't apply shadow in the middle of the eyelid, or else you will not be able to obtain the halo effect.

Step 4: Repeat step 3, but with a darker colour and use the same brush. When this is done, slightly connect the two corners in the crease.

Step 5: Use a glittery shadow and apply it in the middle of the lid. Blend it with the semi fluffy brush with no ekstra shadow on it.

Step 6: The last step is to apply shadow on the lower waterline, I use the shadows from step 2, 3 and 4. Apply mascara and eyeliner and you are done.

That's it - six simple steps to a beautiful eye makeup. If you want to make it a bit more dramatic, you can do a winged liner or put on some falsies - even both.

Until next time!

Hey Blog!

So This weekend I went to Copenhagen with a friend to visit another close friend. The weekend was so much fun. We arrived on Friday (Black Friday) - rumor has it that Black Friday in CPH is crazy, but it wasn't bad at all. I found a pretty, baby-blue coat from ZARA.

The next day our shopping trip continued in central Copenhagen. The day started pretty early so we had plenty of time to walk around and enjoy the beautiful city. We had dinner at Shakedown, where they have fantastic burgers. The adventure continued to 'Tivoli', which is a fanfare in the heart of Copenhagen and has the most fascinating christmas decor.

Sunday was just stay-in day. Nothing much happened, we just hung out at my friend's place, watched a movie and talked.

Until next time

I am a VERY big fan of series. I love the concept, and I must say that I spend way too many hours on them. I can be consumed by a good one, and no one will be able to make me do anything until I finish it. Yep, I am a bit of a fanatic, and I have watched quite many series over the years. Here is my top 5 list.

1. Naruto

Yeah, so this one might be a bit odd for some, because it's an anime. However, it's the best show I've ever watched. I would highly recommend it to literally everyone. This anime had me burst out in tears, laughter and anger. It has made me feel SOOOO many emotions and taught me just as many lessons in life. Something everyone should give a shot even though it'll take many, many hours. Don't judge the book by its cover, is the only thing I can say about Naruto and anime in general.

2. Gossip Girl

"Hello upper eastsiders! Gossip girl here..." this is the famous lines of Gossip Girl. This series brings you into the life of Manhattans richest - every person's ticket to the top. It's a series filled with drama, excitement and many plot twists. It's a glimpse of the lives of teenage billioniars; galla parties, social events and brunch on the roof tops. You get to see the influence that money has on people, and you'll be surprised.

3. Grey's Anatomy

Every doctor, future doctor, medicin student, actually everyone should watch this. Words cannot describe the content of this series, so many things happen. But I can say one thing for sure, it's a never ending journey. At the moment the Grey's anatomy is on its 13th season and still going strong, but I must admit I havn't seen all 13 seasons... OKAY I'm working on it. Even though there are 13 seasons (I have watched about 6) I havn't been bored at all and never heard of anyone who has been. So go watch it, I promise you'll love it.

4. How I Met Your Mother

This series is for the one who wants something to laugh about and just want to chill. I would say How I Met You Mother is the better and funnier version of Friends. I've actually found Friends boring at time, but HIMYM is just never boring. More than just being funny HIMYM has a storyline, which I find quite a good quality of the series.

5. Riverdale

You must have heard of this series! If you havn't: "WHAT WORLD DO YOU LIVE IN?!?!?!?" Riverdale is everywhere, and there is a reason for that. This show is fantastic! It's pretty new, so if you aren't a binge-watcher, you can still keep up, just watch season 1 and you're good to go. It's a new concept in the television world and many surprising events.

Hello there!

I've been meaning to write this post for a while now. This summer I graduated from high school (in Denmark it's called Gymnasium). The week after graduation is about parties, fun and just being carefree - and so was I. I literally turned off my brain and just stopped worrying about anything. I would go out with friends or go to graduation parties day after day and just kept myself busy.

In Denmark we have this one thing called 'Studenterkørsel', which is the most fun thing ever. It is a day dedicated to driving from house to house and visiting everyone of our earlier classmates! The day is filled with dance, laughter and joy. Sadly this is not an international thing, which it should be in my opinion.

As the days passed by the graduation hype cooled down and it was time to make an effort to keep myself busy. For a week or two I watched series, hung out with friends and just minded my own business. Then I had some trips a had to go on.

The first trip was to the scandinavian countries - Denmark, Sweden and Norway. These are all countries I've visited before, so no big deal. However, the 'big' trip this year was to Swiss, where I had a two week stay at CERN. You can read more about this trip soon in another blogpost!

Now I have about six month before university starts... Even I wonder how I'll make time pass.

I really wanted a little rug in my room, because winter is coming (shout out to GoT fans) and I don't want to freeze my feet anymore!

I stumbled across this smart and easy way to create your own rug.

The things you need are:

  • Mesh mat
For my danish readers: Antiskrid underlag fra Stof2000
  • Yarn in any colour(s) (I chose white, grey and blush)
  • Stiff Cardboard
  • Scissors
  • Pen

The rug I made was circular with a diameter of 50 cm. I used about 1.6 km of yarn, but I would recommend to use 1.8 km instead.

Now all we need is to get started!

  1. First of all you need to cut out a U shape - like the figure shown above, out of the cardboard.
  2. Next you have to make loads of pompoms. Those are made by covering the cardboard cutout with yarn. When the wished thickness is reached a string is tied around the yarn and it is cut loose of the cutout. The process is shown step by step below.

The pompoms should look like the ones below
  3. When you are done with all of the pompoms you have to cut the shape you wish your rug to be out of the mesh mat. I wanted a circular rug, so I cut out a circle with a diameter of 50 cm.
  4. The final step is to tie all the pompoms to the mesh mat and you are done!

My end result turned out like this:

This is how to upgrade an Ikea stool in four easy steps.

All you need is:

  • Ikea stool
  • Spraypaint (I chose bronze)
  • Masking tape
  • Faux Fur
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun

  1. Cut a piece of the faux fur, os it has a diameter 5 cm bigger than the top of the chair. Fold the edges of the faux fur over the chair and glue it with the hot glue gun.
  2. Take the legs of the stool and measure 20 cm from the bottom and marks this point. Take the masking tape (or some other tape) and tape so you get a straight line around each leg.
  3. Now we have reached the fun part - spraypainting. I would recommend to do this outside just to avoid the spraypaint to spray onto any furniture.
  4. The final step is to assemble the chair and you are done. An easy way to upgrade a simple Ikea stool.

    The final result:

Are you bored of wearing the same everyday? Here are ten must-haves and tips to 'new cloths' everyday!

1. Always have a pair of black and a pair of light blue jeans!

  • With two pairs of jeans, almost being each other opposites, you can wear the same shirt and it will have a completely different look. A striped shirt and black jeans give you a chick look, throw over leather jacket and you'll go edgy. Changes this look up with a pair of blue jeans to get a laid-back look.

2. Buy basics!

  • Black, white, beige goes with with everything. But don't limit yourself and go for red and blue sometimes, but keep it plain if you go for more drastic colors. in that way you can use it with different bottoms!

3. A statement piece

  • Get yourself at least one statement piece! Find something that can be used for multiple purposes! Find red bag, that goes perfectly with light jeans and a white shirt at the same time it gives the finishing touch to a casual outfit of black jeans and a plain shirt. Or get yourself a pair of sunglasses, shoes or a unique jacket. My tip is to get something universal but unique. Go for something with multiple colors, but no dramatic pattern.
4. Never buy the same
  • We all have that one shirt or that special pair of jeans which fits perfectly. And what do we do? We buy the same shirt or jean! Maybe in a different color if we feel for some change. Here is one golden advise! CHANGE IT UP EVEN MORE! Wear that shirt as much as you can. Get everything you can out of it, but don't buy two or three of them. Go for another model and another color! In that way you have loads cloths that you can style differently.
5. The little black dress
  • You must have heard this thousands of times, and I'm going to say it one more time. The little black dress is essential in every woman's closet. You style it in countless ways! Pop on some jewelry or pretty shoes and you are of to a date or throw over a cardigan and some flats, and there you go: Outfit of the day!
6. Pencil skirt
  • This skirt has saved me life a lot. Just like the little black dress it has no style limit. We all know the feeling when we want to wear a dress, but we have worn all of them too many times. Pull out your pencil skirt and wear whatever top you want. This is the trick to get endless numbers of dresses.
7. Be picky!
  • Is that pair of shoes really important? Did you fall in love with it at first sight? If not. DO NOT BUY! Choose you items carefully and be sure that it is worth every penny.
8. Wear comfy
  • This outfit is for that day when you don't want to wear cloths! Have this outfit in hand and you can feel good and look good at the same time! I find that a pair of straight leg trousers work best!
9. Be brave
  • Oh yes! You can be brave when it comes to fashion. Be brave and choose outfits that you would not usually wear! Combine your cloths differently. PUSH YOURSELF OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORTZONE! Remember to follow the next point at time likes this!

10. Wear it like you are on the run way

  • You can oh so much to look your best! But it doesn't matter if you don't believe you look perfect yourself! No one will buy it if you don't. My tip to myself is: 'Wear it like you're on the runway at NYFW'

Today I feel like I can conquer anything! The source of this feeling is happiness. It does not come to me everyday, but I'm lucky enough to have people around me who'll do anything for me! And I'll do anything for them!

Even though I was burning in with a fire the other day. Today I realize it was a fire started by the ugly truth of jealousy. She had done non wrong, and she tries her best! I am the one to blame! I was out of myself and brought it out on her!

Today I am here feeling like the world is mine! Proud of myself and I feel like I conquered the world. I did nothing but have them by my side and accept myself! I think to myself: "Why should I be sad?" It does not do any good to me or anyone!

Just listening to some inspiring music and realising how much it can do to your mood. This music makes me so happy. It is a perfect ending to a perfect day!

Until next time/Jahi

Today I realised something, or I did years ago, but every now and then I remind myself of the few good friends I have. They are rare, but their friendships last a life-time. It’s times when fake friends show their real skin, you really get to appreciate your true friends.

Have you ever thought that one was your friend, you opened up to him or her, but in the end they let you go? I have! She was one of my closest friends, I told her everything! Literally EVERYTHING! Even stuff I haven’t told my closest friends. One day she just cut me off. In beginning I didn’t mind, people grow apart, but as the time pasted she only talked to me, when she needed my help or wanted something I had, and that started to annoy me. I don’t want a friendship where I feel used - and so should no one. Times like these are when you see who are your real friends are. I found out that I only had very few.

Some say that you are unpopular or even uncool when you only have a few friends like me, but the truth is that those few friendships are all you need. They are the once that matter, so do everything in your power to keep them.

Then how do you know if they are you (true) friends?

I look for five qualities that think every friend(ship) should have.

  1. A true friend will get you 100 %. They’ll support you no matter what it is and how stupid it sounds, but at the same time they’ll tell you the truth even if it hurts.
  2. A true friend will put just as much effort into the friendship as you do!
  3. You have fun together!
  4. Both of you can be yourselves around each other.
  5. Your friend makes you a better you!

A fake friend won’t live up to those criteria, and it’s a continuing pattern in all the fake friendships I’ve had – and there are quite a lot. It’s not that I don’t talk to other than my few good friends, but they are not as important to me as the others.

Keep that in mind. Some friendships are worth fighting for, and some are just better gone. It’s up to you what battles you’ll fight. I’m done fighting the wrong once.

Until next time/ Jahi

Do you ever feel like you have no one? It is like everyone just hates me. I need someone to distract me now, but nobody has time. I know they all said to me to tell them, but I don’t want to be a burden. Yesterday I needed a place to stay because I was afraid of staying with him. No matter what idea I came up with she kept shutting it down. It is like she wanted me to stay, like she wanted me to feel like this. Worst of all is that I don’t think it’s my personality it’s based on but the way I look. I never thought that my size would tear me apart like this - but it did! And I never thought that it would become the source of my pain, but that's it became!

She keeps judging me based on my appearance. She like her more than me. All she talks about is her. Even when we went out together to get me an outfit, she just went buy herself to look for anything to buy her. When I asked her to help me or if she found something, she would say: “I’m not looking for you, I want to see if there is anything for her.” It hurts so much to think of it. I tried to forget, but I can't! It broke my heart... It hurts so much because her approval is important to me but apparently I’m not important enough for her. Even to this day she wants to if MY cloths fit her better, though it was for me.

And that’s why I try to stay to myself, because people hurt you. When you stay to yourself, nobody will make you feel like I do, and I’m done feeling like that!
