Today I write from a soaked Sweden. These past few days has been cold and horrible, filled with rain and wind. Not fun, but I shouldn't complain thinking of what's happening in Texas and Florida right now...

Yesterday we had a soccer game planned, but we didn't know if were going to play. Late in the evening we met and played anyways. The rain poured down the whole time and my whole body was soaked, lots of players slipped in the mud, actually it was quite funny to watch even though we lost.

Today another rainy day awaits and I'm going to spend it in school as usual, with flute lessons in the afternoon.

Love ❤

The boring life of Me

Yes, I am.... But I hardly knew it myself until now :)

The reason I haven't posted in a very long time is simple: nobody would ever like to read about my boring life.
This is what has happened since the last post:

1. School started.
2. I discovered that the people in my class are terrible just as before.
3. I cut my hair.

Number three is actually the most exciting thing that's happened to me since the beginning of earth. Since you guys never saw me in my long hair it won't be a huge difference but this is how I look now.

Actually found a pic of long haired me, quite a difference!

Gotland 2017, Travels

Well hello, guys!
Surprise: I'm alive!

This wasn't meant to be a blog about traveling, because you'd have like one post every year, but eight now I'm in the Swedish island Gotland so I felt that I needed to post! Today is our third day here, and we are once again visiting the middle age-market in Visby. You might have heard of it.

Yesterday was fantastic, I bought myself a medieval dress which cost way to much for me, but I love it! The dress is green and made of linnen with a leather belt in the waist.

One thing I really love about this festival is that everybody are accepted here. The middle ages stretched over a really long period of time and therefore you can wear literally anything. Knight, pirate, royal, stormtrooper: nobody really cares.

Here are some of the pictures I've taken, most of them have a bad quality, but anyway.

Austria2017, Travels

As fun as travelling is, you always find yourself a little sad when it's time to go home. This is how I feel right now.

During this amazing week I have done so much, I've climbed mountains, met wonderful people, eaten nice food, laughed, explored and much more. The time I've spent here in Bad Gastein has been so magical that it almost feels surreal to return home again.

As I look out our hotel room window, I feel stung by sentimentality. I realize that I don't want to leave. I can hardly imagine going back to school, to stupid people and boring days. One day I hope I'll go back to Austria and Bad Gastein, and I hope that it would all be the same...

The last couple of days has been amazing too, yesterday we came real close to the marmots and we saw them playing, I'll miss them too! Here's some pictures.

The last pic is me trying to be a little gymnastic, but well... At least I tried...

Hallo!
In this post I'll sum up what happened today, mostly because I love to take pictures but also because I'm too lazy to write a lot of text!

In the morning we took the skiing lift up to a mountain called Graukogel. On the way some cows accompanied us, but they didn't really care about us! 😅

We hiked to the top where we had a wonderful view, 2200 meters above ocean level.

At the middle of the hike, we stopped by a lake where those who wanted could take a swim. The water was really cold, around 15 degrees Celsius, but once you were in you couldn't feel your body freezing.

The lunch of the day: Chicken with rice and vegetables.

After a while the weather became worse, and it started to rain. As we got in the lift again we heard thunder coming closer, but we made it home.

Austria2017, Travels

Hello again!
First of all, let's all take a minute and appreciate this title....

Today we had our first "real" hike, apparently the first one was only a warm up according to our guide. We met a little bit earlier this morning and traveled by bus to Sportgastein (real name is Nassfeld). From there we hiked to a lake where you could go swimming, but it was cold. I managed to slip on a rock and cut my foot, but the hike continued. Before lunch our guide stopped and pointed up the hill to our right, and then we saw them: the marmots!! Wonderful creatures, we didn't see much of them, but they kind of looked like large guinea pigs! Adore them ❤

Austria2017

Hello there! With this post I want to welcome you to my blog, my name is Elin and I'm very happy that you want to read this!

I'm actually going to start the action in this blog right now with a journey to Austria! Not Australia, the other one in Europe. Were visiting the wonderful village of Bad Gastein, South of Salzburg. This far we've been here for two days and are staying for a week. Every day except for Wednesday we will be hiking in the alps with guide and a Wanderfürer (did I spell that right?). The group of 14 people had lunch at a small restaurant on a mountain which was really nice, and we also had a wonderful view over the Gasteiner valley.

Tomorrow will be an even tougher hike to a lake where you can swim if you want... I also have a wish to see a marmot (I hope that's the right translation) but I think they live higher up in the alps.

Love

Our lunch, a "farmer salad" with potatoes, bacon, cabbage, tomatoes, lettuce and some other things.
